Default White Lightning Southern Buggy Build

Recently through Colby I picked up a wicked chassis that's set to run scx drivelines this one is gonna be a different approach from Showtime. So far I'm gonna be mobbing parts from other rigs for mock ups until their more expensive counterparts are here.

Teardown of my temporary donor xj is in progress so I can get the general idea of how the buggy is gonna sit. Kinda debating some tall 1.9's or smaller to medium sized 2.2's

Here's a couple pics with some stolen running gear and set of tires. Debating on wheel wideners or not.

art it looks good bro. I wouldn't do wideners, just flip the wheels on the hubs. this will widen it up about a 1/2" or so overall. atleast try it first

just my $0.02

Hell yeah! On the front, take the shock and move it to the outer most hole on the axle tab. Run a bolt through the shock rod end, through the tab, through a spacer, then through the lower link and then through the inner tab. That way you can move the shocks out and get a little better performance.

agreed with Colby, that's how run all my scx10 axled rigs on the front aswell.

When your rig is dancing around on a hill with 700 scale horsepower slinging stuff it helps keep the rig stable instead of slinging it on its lid.

You mean dancing around with this motor under the cage?

Switched up my gameplan a little. I switched over to some good ole Tennessee cut tsls and tried a semi puller motor on 32p gearing which proved to be slow. Going back to the ttc puller on 32p along with a 4500 2s for now to see how it handles. I also took the advice and flipped my shocks outside of the axles, moved the links out and put in revo ball ends.

Looks so much better. That things got a bitchin stance dude! Funny that i built this without drawing or measuring anything but to keep the shock mounts level. Lol

I ended up having to put 12mm wideners on it to clear the shocks on the front and didnt want a wide track front with a narrow rear but I have 5 1/2" of flex while maintaining 3" from skid to ground

Ended up trimming the front upper links so the axle wasn't so overclocked and made the tires lean in so bad

They're silky smooth now lets see if they'll handle that Holmes puller motor on 48p to clear the punisher shafts lol
