Default "Blue Crush" JK build

I had a pair of axial axles with portal ends laying around and decided it was time i built a JK.
If your familiar with jeepforum, then you probably know spyder6(and his sweet rubicon), well hes a good friend of mine and im gonna model this one after his new JK.
Blue Crush Build - JeepForum.com

As of right now its a x-trail chassis, ax10 axles and trans, portal ends, 13" WB, full stock body. Rc4wd 1.9 two faces

Here is Mopar's Blue crush for more inspiration!

Obviously the paint is going to be the cosmos blue, ill prolly build bumpers for it,

are you going with the 2.2s or the 1.9s to match the 1:1? Either will work, but the 1.9s are more scale. Subscribed.

The original plan for spyder6's jk was 42s, so I'm gonna stick with the 2.2s also I already have a jeep on 1.9s and the portal ends make it a bitch to get 1.9s to fit...

Once it warms up a bit I'll get it painted, what's the best way to remove the gay mud off it?

Search around...there's a video out there on the WRONG way to remove the mud. Try youtube or google. It will really help you and prevent disaster.

can a moderator move this to the 1.9 section?

I showed the jk to my buddy whos build im copying, and he said it was WAY too big with the 2.2s, so i modded the portals to accept 1.9s... also added my MTR-ks(two faces) and am working on a bumper now!

next to my crazier TJ

and the bumper that im gonna make

I like big trucks (and I cannot lie)...but the 1.9s look a lot better. Luckily, the 1.9s out there right now are nice and big. I think it looks great. Hack those fenders back and start rockin!

Yea it seems to work better with the 1.9s as well! Bulldog, I have to give u a little credit too as I forgot u recommended the 1.9s. I'm gonna keep the fenders as full as possible, as I like how the rear tires tuck up in the fender.

I tried. The fenders just seem too stock for me. I'm a big fan of the aftermarket modded types. You'll come around!

I would go with a full set of flat fenders, that would really set it off..

Hmmm. Deja VU all over again. It looks like you managed to save it though. The other fellow didn't fair so well. I might not have made myself clear. The video shows a guy doing the same thing with brake fluid and melts the whole front end off! It was kinda funny to hear the disappointment in his voice!
