| Re: Stealth bomber the Class 3 build Setting up a new stance, mostly droop setup, small amount of up travel. Put in some burly tubes, front and rear, xr steering mod front and back, waiting on some more 3/16 rod to finish the parts of the cage I removed. Then I need to make new panels since everything got stretched. |

Last runaround was close to full droop, but I had some clearance issues. So this time I'm actually building it at full droop with the links past being parallel to the ground, so the chassis plate sits below the axle centerline. Should be nice and low

Steering went from this. To this! No more wheel extensions! I'm excited for this nonsense! |

I own a body shop in New Hampshire and I also do powder coating .... 80 dollars is a fair price for a frame with multiple layers ... In fact it's cheap ... Each color needs to be baked in between ..... I've never heard of a Harley frame being only 400 that's a smoking deal I may start shipping my jobs to that guy and pocketing all the cash .. As far as time and materials wether it be paint of powder .... Weight it out like this ...... A shop charges 40-75 per hour of labor it's takes several hours of labor to sand blast set up prime bake paint bake candy/flake bake then clear ...plus the materials you may think " it's just an rc cage but ...... Powder gets purchased by the pound at 25-100 dollars a pound and granted you use a few ounces per color with all that gets wasted in the air but it still gets paid for by the shop owner .... Now let's talk paint .... Even if you own a mixing bank ... That can make factory car colors ... Not flakes candys no custom house of kolor stuff so you have to order it and it only comes in pints and quarts varying from 39-300 dollars ... Even factory color mixing banks only have quarts or gallons of tints varying from 120-700 dollars per tint ... So a paint job it would need to be sand blasted them primed then sanded ... Tedious sanding around little tubes ... Then paint then whatever else ... Then clear ...the clear I use is 175 a gallon and granted you only use a few ounces but it all needs to be paid for .... When people have me build cages or custom hiluxs I try to be fair and don't actually charge my rate /material prices because after all it's " only an rc car" but nothing in this world is free... You guys are willing to spend 200 on a set of omf wheels or 675 for a set of curries so what's 100 bucks on a fresh paint/powder job ????? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I dont have any of those components. Im allowed to have an opinion if i dont like the cost of something. Not like i used the shops name or the owners name and publically bashed him. I just went ahead and painted it myself with a cheapo rattle can. Just don't see a point if I'm going to scrape it all off on rocks. Anyway....
