Default ultra4 exo questions?

So this ultra4 bug has got me. I am starting with an exo. I also have a wraith axle to install onto the rear. The plan was a ifs front end with trailing rear. My first question is how do I achieve the width requirement of under 13in and still run 2.2 wheels? When I put some slw's on the exo front it came out to almost 13.5 inches. I was unable to narrow it down any without the steeringarms hitting the inside of the wheels. Is there an easy fix or do I need to find shorter a-arms and shorter axles.

For some reason it never hit me to look for answers in the wraith section. So I have found some good answers but would still like any suggestions. Thanks.

I am running hr knuckles with some cf steering arms. I may try and make some clearance by filing down the arm or running another type of wheel. This just my first attemp and I will take all the help I can get. Does anyone offer another type of arm with more clearance?

The VP 3 piece wheels have more inner clearance. I use the Methods with the Locked Up .185 SLW hubs. .185 SLW Compatible Hex hub

That is about as narrow as you can get.

As the previous post states. VP method wheels and OMF wheels have the most inner clearance.

I just recently bought an exo for product development. One of the products I intend on making is scx10 width arms. It sounds like you would be interested in arms between stock and scx width.

What width would people be most interested in?

That would be a great product line. That would enable a 1.9 ifs build with the exo...instead of using twin hammers parts.

That's the plan. I think my scx10 will probably end up with scx width exo ifs so there maybe a scx ifs kit born as well.

That is exactly what I was looking for. Keep the updates coming on some new ideas please. Should I cut the exo skid or just start from scratch. On one hand I get done faster and on the other I have something nicer that I would be more likely to keep.

An arm that would be long enough to still use slash mip's but short enough to clear most wheels and be under the 12.5 in wide rule for the trophy class. Maybe a compatable arm already is out there and you could just put the parts together in a kit for the masses.
