Default Postclanker's class 3 build... chassis by WTFab

Postclanker came back to me for another chassis, so I must have done something right on the first one. being my first official customer as a vendor on here I want to thank him again for giving me the chance.

this chassis is based off a chassis I built for myself last year. it will have:

full tube chassis (3/16" .035 wall stainless steel tubing)
fully TIG welded
ford cab

anyway here's some pics where I'm on this chassis.

carterfab skid plate mounts. I'm so glad I sent these guys the CAD drawings for these plates. they do such nice work.

I like the ladder style frame... especially since it's not a rock bouncer.

Wow, I am so looking forward to this chassis. I absolutely love the first one I have....my Class 2 Truggy

I get so many compliments on this rig...is there any wonder I wanted another rig from Warren. Top notch work.

Most excellent....I can almost touch it....

Stunning tig work! I've never seen welds that smooth on such small tubing!

Been waiting to see pics of this bad boy

That c2 truggy rig plain works and is tough as nails, if this will be a bigger and badder version... this build will be a fun ride.

I figured I'd better get started on some stuff that I can get ready until I get the chassis from Warren...I've been gathering parts

I won't spare much on this build, I want a tuff truck even before it hits any rocks

Some specs to get started:

Chassis by WTFab
Warren is very meticulous with his builds. His quality shows, he is proud of what he does and I am proud to run his chassis.

HH 35t Torquemaster
Full Robinson tranny gears
Hardened steel outputs
MIP shafts
32P gears...starting with a 60/14 ratio
Fast Eddie bearings

Big bore shocks
Mini T springs, Durratrax
Jeepin Doug's cups

CI foams
Rock Beast rubber
VP SLW wheels

VP Chubs and Knucks (Wraith)
Grip Fab spools
RC Bros aluminum splined beef tubes...delrin tubes were pictured but they went into another axle...I swapped those with the aluminum tapped version
RC Bros knuckle weight system
XR10 universals
Zero akerman arms

Tires on the axles look huge

Hitec 7955 TG
MMPRO
CC BEC

That's it for now....I'm sure there will be more later. Warren will update this with pictures of his progress. After seeing my crawler mates with their 2.2 rigs...I want to join the Frey, can't wait.

I will sport a Ford Raptor cab....

Thanks for looking

Ha, if I had the room in the man cave I'd have a proper photo booth set up, but I have too much stuff I refuse to throw away...

That will be a sweet rig , Warrens work is beautiful. Its like waiting for Xmas !
I see that you already have a nice axle setup but I can highly recommended these axles .GCM Racing WebStore-2013 - A-13 SCX MetalHead Axles Pre-Order
Extra bling and tough as hell , they would be perfect on that rig.

I didn't do much fab work this weekend but I got a pile of finish welding done on the front end. it's getting closer, still have to finish the back end and a set of trusses and links for it, then it's off to Greg.

sorry about the pics if they are a little blurry, my little boy broke our camera so I had to use my phone.

anyway here's where I'm at. front end is welded, body mounts are welded, electronics tray and battery tray all welded up.

Hey Kona....I did check those GCMs out since I saw them on your rig, they are indeed very nice. I am really liking the XR modded axles for steering and since this will be a comp vehicle, I wanted to go with something I was familiar with.

That's not to say they wouldn't be on another truck in the future though...

Man, the whole damn truck's gonna be sexy....I might even like that Raptor body on there....

Nice job on those trusses Warren....I've got a Hitec for the steering servo in the front if that helps with mount spacing....
