The Jeep I'm building is a hybrid of both the JK8 and the Brute. The bed is level with the bottom of the window frames and that is what the brute offers over the JK8 is the bed depth and size. I'm staying with the short wheel base and short bed but is deep and changes the look.

So looking at the Rear window as you see above. it isn't going to be this shape or size for long I'm making it like the JK8 sliding window and yes it will side when it's done.

It's hard to see because of the protective cover on the Lexan but the window is in. I have more to do such as cut the center out and add rails on the edges and trim around the frame. and lots of sanding. Oh by the way my fingers never get tired of sanding because I wrap sad paper around the hacksaw blade and use it as my finger. Try it it will save time and it is clean way to get even sanding done.

Here is some more detail of the rear window. I will add more out side edging to the window just before paint.

I had to cut the reat seat to make a notch so that the track for the window would fit. I also added a slight bend in the upper part of the seat. I looks better, (sporty).

The solid aluminum chassis is under construction. The ls motor looks cool but is a pinch on the small size because it' 1/12 scale.

I went wit a stiffer spring so that it works with the weight of the body. It is very smooth and progressive. I like it.

If you have the body to do one, you should. They have lots of potential.
It helps to get a band saw from Harbor Freight (a cheap one) to cut frame and stuff.

I just ordered some parts to keep the build going. I have the RC4WD T1 Disruptor Black Transfer Case (2.18:1 Gearing) and a set of drive shafts JUNFAC HARDENED UNIVERSAL SHAFT (95-130MM) 5MM HOLE on the way also. And some more WHITE STYRENE on the way. should be another week before the parts show up.

This is the reason I didn't do the long bed. I wanted the frame to work with this body also. It's going to be a FJ 43 ICON when it's done. the light bucket are Proline and the front floor has been modified also. It will have a roll cage and removable hard top. I need to come up with some working tail light lens. Any ideas?

I did get some of the bed pieces in. I'm waiting on the thinner sheets to come in.
