Default "Starting Point"

Random build pics of "Starting Point". Did not care to explain every detail. Not showing for Star Ratings, just showing progress.
Enjoy

Beautiful bunch of parts there, all of my favourites !
That HD is gonna pack a punch, I haven't thought of needing more power than a regular pro4 but having it on tap will be cool.
What are you doing for battery access ? Are you keeping the screw- on panels and removing them each time ? I know I'd get jack of that pretty quick, rare earth magnets would be the go.
Keep the updates coming , keen to see it running.

Packs are smaller than car packs. These are aircraft packs. Run parallel for 3s but have 4400 mAh's combined. LCG. Unstrap and pop right out the front window.Simple as pie . I got these with Dean's already on them.

PS: Love your Ben Napier rigs!!!

Nice, but does your interior just lift out or is it hinged ?
My Napier Bomber rig has been getting a real flogging lately and its holding up well, just the VP chubs coming loose on the axles. I'm getting the VP scale chubs with the clamp , they look like a much better idea.
I've just started drawing up the plans for my next ultra4 , it'll be another 1:1 IFS that I'm doing with a live front axle , I'm still not a fan of the exo front !

Can't wait or your next update Hunter! Do you have an idea about panel colors?

Also, how much are your 2200's running? I'm running 2200's in the ZMantis, but wondering if they are more or less than 39 a piece.

Have not got that far yet, but hinged seems to be the ticket.
Clamped chubs is the way to go for sure.
My 1/8 scale buggy's are IFS w/limited slip using heavy weight diff juice. Great for fast cornering and rough terrain traction, IMO. Exo (have 2 of them) diff's and axles just not strong enough for big power motor's and 3s+, including Yeti, which I'm building next (Preorder). Waitng for Rick @ SuperShafty to do us right.

Standard size packs are too long and wont fit between uprights. FYI

More or less directed to northkona and his Napier rig. Really like the scale chubs/knucks and V2 5mm driveshafts. But till I beat the piss out of what I got, I'm installing these. Less expensive and will do the job. Needed them anyway in my book. Got a set for rear on my Yeti when I get it.

Yep, nice looking shoes alright !
Are they silvers and what wheels are you running ? Mine are in transit and I can't wait, I got the silvers , they should hold up to a bit of roosting a bit better than the golds.

Yes, Silvers w/stock Axial 3 piece rims and VP SLW's. The bead on these tires is fantastic and seams to hold well on the rims. Speed will tell. Have CI's 1" rims but hard to mount, CI 2.2 med foams are to wide @ rim IMO. Was just easier to mount on beadlocks. I'm sure I'll change over to CI rims though.
I see you bought some beef, . Good choice!
