Monty's 2.2 Wroncho Type Build

So my girlfriends dad, aka Monty, wanted me to build him a 2.2 rig. His exact words to me were I want a pretty solid rig. So with that in mind I said why not a wroncho like mine. So after a big order to VP, RPP, and our local hobby shop was placed I was able to start building."thumbsup"

So after buying the scale shop chassis off Norton I was able to mount that to a wraith skid and started to build the trans with all steel gears. I'm gonna start gearing at 86/16 and see how it runs.

Next was to build the shocks and the axles. I decided to go with losi 4" crawler shocks since I've heard good things about them. The wraith ar60s got some goodies when building them"thumbsup". VP stage 1 kit, VP smooth diff, hot racing lockers, hardened gears and axial cvds

Monty's 2.2 Wroncho Type Build

So made some progress this afternoon. Bent the frame in the front and rear to clear the shocks and mounted the axles with the VP wraith link kit and used the long revo ends on the axle side to stretch the wheelbase a little. Waiting on foams to show up so I can mount the tires and get some real progress done"thumbsup"http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/07/13/epybaty8.jpg

Little more progress today after work. Mounted the tire and wheels since the crawler innovation foams came in. The stock foams are just junk lol. He wanted 2.2 swamper tsl on some integy beadlocks. Also got the 56 ford body cut up and set. Next is some tube work!"thumbsup"http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/07/16/a7egapaj.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/07/16/abugajyg.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/07/16/vyjemume.jpg

Thanks guys! My first one off build from basically scratch. Took it out a few weekends ago and so far it performs really well. Might sit a hair too high but other that that it works well"thumbsup"http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/09/10/y4u5avep.jpg
