My version of Axial EXO: Project Crawler/Rock Racer 2 Speed

I would like to share my project: Axial Exo Terra Crawler.

This is the second version of the project, before had put a transmission from RC4WD R2 with DIG and now decided to put the two-speed transmission, RC4WD AX2.

I also bought the steering Knuckle's the Axial Yeti to put new aluminum wheels 2.2 "

I liked the result, can you cool Crawler and also good top speed ... the best of two worlds

Full Specs:
ESC: TrackStar GENII 150A - BEC 6v-5A
Motor: HobbyWing Xerun 17.5T 1900kV sensored
Transmission: RC4WD AX2 2 Speed 60T/15T
Radio: Spektrum DX3E + SR300 3 channel
2.2" Aluminum beadlock wheels with Pro-Line Hammer tires
3S Lipo 4000mAh
Front and Rear diff's Locked
Custom front steering system & rear suspension

Of course, new 3mm aluminum chassis with increased Wheelbase 365mm (334mm is original) and now with better weight distribution.

To hold the battery, I used the battery tray the SCX10


Front:
For this modification, cut the front tower shock to fit the servo and used to lock the rear camber link.


I also cut / sanded the Bulkhead not to pick on the servo arm

That looks pretty cool. How does the higher cg work out? I imagine the increased clearance is nice for getting over rocks. Was it worth the change is cg?

My 2cents, i run the ax2 trans in my ultra 4 car rx8 and pro4 3000kv. When ever rc4wd get the hd output shafts back in stock order it pn z-s0830. Car looks good.

Hello Dna, as had increased wheelbase helped stability. In the tests we did showed a stable behavior, does not compare to the original design of the Exo.
It has also helped wheels that are heavier than nylon ...
