Default first tube frame

I was out of the R/C game for a while and got back in right before I joined this forum and lurked around a bit while I tinkered with a venom creeper. I admired the tube work some of the folks were doing and thought I would challenge myself by learning to braze and build a chassis from scratch. This isn't the cleanest build, nor is it the most scale, but it's been a great learning experience so far and I hope this forum will help me to see it completed.

Any tips and criticism are welcome.

Thanks for looking.

Thanks for the encouraging words guys. I picked up some rod ends today so i can get my skid/trans mount and links figured out. Hopefully I'll have more progress shots to post by the weekend.

I made a little more progress on mocking up everything but there's still plenty to do. Sorry for the crappy photos.

O'Reilly's auto parts stocks it. The other auto parts chains should be able to order it though if you don't have an O'Reilly's in your area.

Thanks. It's been quite a learning process. A healthy mix of satisfaction and frustration. I have some ideas floating around my head for a future build but I don't want to get sidetracked for the time being.

Servos are mounted and it runs...in the living room.

I had a little time to work on these...they're not perfect but they work well. Anyone care to guess what they are? I'll send a prize to the first correct guesser.

These are the body mounts installed. I wanted to be able to have an unlimited amount of adjustment and I think these will do just that.

got some paint on the frame, links cut and tapped and some wheels spacers made. I still need to pick some tires to run.
