nice build bud. a few years ago i build a sc truck out of an old mp7.5 1.8 buggy. the rear axle is a narrowed twin force axle. since then i have modded it quite a bit and now its like a Yeti. but anway. look forward to your build man. its nice to see a super scale truck after my function over form build.

if your interested take a look. obviously not for build advice. you got plenty of those skills, just for fun, you know!
1/8 buggy converted to rear 4-link - RCShortCourse

and not as the yeti.
not quite a Yeti. so a Sasquatch

Hey man thanks. Looking forward to it also. But I have seen your build before, it was actually one of the first solid axle builds I saw! I really like the yeti-like conversion you did to it, pretty sweet!

Thanks Kylar, I cannot wait to get this thing running. When I first saw this truck I knew I had to make it, it's so sick. But after the first build I've learned so much, and I've made many changes that I think will make this truck even more of a beast!

Your welds are improving! Nice.
I still wish that you would have done a 1/6 scale truck.

Hey thanks, yeah it's getting better! The use of a bender and better metal have really helped. But a project that big isn't in the budget right now lol, definitely something for the future though.

Here's the latest update. Got all the key areas done, and everything sits well. Chassis bottoms out with less than a 1/4 in the back, front will bottom out all the way. But from here on out it should be a breeze.

No I'm doing a 4-link with this one. Going to use stiffer sway bars so it should work well.

Got the rear section completed, and part of the front. Everything is going smoothly. Going to keep working on it through out the week. Next is the roof, then the rear shock mounts.

Thanks yeah I'm working from the ground up. But yeah the axle is great, rc4wd stopped selling it though. That's the main reason you don't see anyone use it, but there are plenty of other tt builds going on, just not on this forum.

Your True scale trophy trucks are awesome man. Love the Bj Baldwin truck and this one is shaping up to be wicked to. What bodies are you using on these builds? Slash style? Keep up the killer work and welcome to rccrawler.

Thanks for the kind words man, glad to be a part of the forum. But to answer you question I run normal sct bodies. For this one I'm going to try to design and mold my old. Would be a first for me, so we'll see how it turns out!
