Project Zeus: Cycon's Steven Eugenio Trophy Truck Build I know it's a different username, but it's Cyconxc from YouTube. If you guys haven't checked out my channel please do! CyconXc - YouTube But I'm new to this forum so I thought I'd throw up my new build thread here. I’ve been building these tt’s for a few years now so I’m getting a great understanding for them now. Since May I've been working on this BJ Baldwin replica truck, which I'm pretty much done with it now. I have a lengthy build thread for it on the Traxxas forums if you want to see that.XC's Custom Solid Axle Trophy Truck Build Thread - Page 25 It's not going anywhere; it's just time to start on a new project. http://i.imgur.com/WM0zS9Sl.jpg So for my next scale build I'm doing Steven Eugenio's ID Designs truck, nicknamed "Zeus". He just took overall in the SCORE Trophy Truck class for 2014 "thumbsup" http://i.imgur.com/2u3VxqMl.jpg The main chassis is going to be pretty similar to the last, just a few minor changes. Now that I’ve built and driven my old truck for a while I've found a few areas I can improve. So, here's my finished wood model for the cage. After measuring it all it came up to 27 feet. Not sure if that's 100% accurate, but that's what I got. I like to have everything planned up beforehand. http://i.imgur.com/e6We48q.jpg I got all the Slash 4x4 front end parts ordered so I’ll post an update when that gets here. Really excited to start on a new truck! |
Re: Project Zeus: Cycon's Steven Eugenio Trophy Truck Build Making quick progress. Got the chassis all cut and made some new trailing arms to go along with it. For now I'm going to be swaping the axle from the other truck. http://i.imgur.com/EYIraBs.jpg Bashmasterx did the amazing dime work! http://i.imgur.com/IhCKeJh.jpg |
Re: Project Zeus: Cycon's Steven Eugenio Trophy Truck Build First of all, that BJ Baldwin truck is off the chain. Mad props to you. Looking forward to this build. I think you have found a new forum you can call home! |
Re: Project Zeus: Cycon's Steven Eugenio Trophy Truck Build You should look into The Yeti XL it is bigger and would hold up to the added weight also it would be something you haven't done. I whink that a rebuild is't needed. But a bigger build would set it above the others that you have seen and and done. But mostly no one has done it yet! |

Re: Project Zeus: Cycon's Steven Eugenio Trophy Truck Build Alright guys got most of the layout done. All the 4x4 slash parts fit perfect. I made the top links and their mounts (still need the tubing for them) Also mounted up the scte motor mount and servo from the old truck to use temporarily. Now that the chassis layout is done I'll be starting on the cage soon. http://i.imgur.com/FlS2WrD.jpg |
Re: Project Zeus: Cycon's Steven Eugenio Trophy Truck Build Awesome! Where did you get the front diff/arm mount plate? |

Re: Project Zeus: Cycon's Steven Eugenio Trophy Truck Build 5mm! how big is that thing gonna be? |
Re: Project Zeus: Cycon's Steven Eugenio Trophy Truck Build 5mm is pretty close to 3/16, which is what I used on my last truck. But it's going to be the same size, keeping the 13 inch wheelbase. |
Re: Project Zeus: Cycon's Steven Eugenio Trophy Truck Build Looks good man. Looking forword to more. I have read through your thread on the traxxas forum a few times excited to see this come together. |
