Troubled a bit getting the drive shafts to work. Tried both directions of the skid/tranny, all sorts of link arrangements and 3 sets of drive shafts. Ended up with Vanquish Wraith links and MIP shafts. Nasty angle at the joints up on the tranny now, but they spin freely in all situations. Wild Boars and Junfac/Gmade couldn't do this angle withut binding.

Got it lowered some and stretched the wheelbase a bit. Absolutely love the stance of this thing! Will drop a bit more when I weight up the chassis with electronics and scale details.

Actually not my favourite wheel. They look as narrow and skinny as they really are (0.75"?) and if I where to choose colour I'd prefer grey centers to make more contrast. Got them with an other car I've traded off. I've been looking at a set of RB 2's to go with them, but I'm really not sure about I like the look of a wide tire with a narrow rim. The size of them would also cause me further more issues with this project.

This is my Wraith with Mayhem G10's. Less scale lookin rings and hardware, but i fancy this design.

I wasn't very happy with the angles on the drive shafts when crossing from one side to another, so yesterday i tore down the rig and flipped the tranny around. Now the tranny outputs is at the same side as the pumpkins, as it would be on a Wraith. I had to make a custom upper link to clear the drive shaft and did a mock up in 4mm allthread. Will test drive this to see how it works. If they are to weak I'll sleeve with piping prior to bending to increase stiffnes.

The trany flip should work out much better...I had to modify my links to clear the MIPs I used, so check for that.

Those wheels are killer, I have some VP ...think they are "stars" that I'd swap ya for if you want to unload them...

As I wrote I'v made custom links allready. Very happy with the setup. Next on my list is to make a custom battey plate. Thorn between two smaller packs in parallel or one bigger. It will be a pain to change battery out on the trail with several screws to get acces, so I'm trying to fit as much mah possible up front.

This will probably be my first and last set of VP wheels. Fit and finish is first class, and I like the look of them. Sadly they are just too narrow to look right with any known tire. And I disslile standard hardware. "Everybody" uses metric these days.

Awesome im literally starting to build the same truck....SMF RC works chassis and all. I however had Dave build me a back halved version of one of there chassis. I used this for a battery tray Howler Customs – Battery & Electronics Tray | Harley Designs and just did a Big MAH battery so i dont have to change it as often.

I don't understand, you'll be running a big battery in the rear?

Can't fit that tray in mine. Not enough room behind shock hoops. I'll be making my own out of aluminium sheets, battery placed as shown. I could easily fit 5-10A under there without to much problems. This is a 4A 3S.

Look under it on that last picture. It's raised from the ground. Standing on the wheels it's actually as low as a stock SCX10 from the skid down. I can't make it much lower with a stock SCX10 frame and AR60's.

So how's your driveshaft clearance with the ar60s and narrow skid. I'm having a little issue with that myself.
