Just found out that the Blue Monkey knuckle weights i bought in November are now no longer SORCCA legal..kinda bummed about that, especially cause C3 is a "MODIFIED" class AND i just purchased these darn things... hopefully vendors dont take too big of a hit now with a smaller margin of a crowd that wont be purchasing these with the SORCCA rules change. I understand they are not "scale" but that doesnt mean im not disappointed. Knuckle weights are simply just freakin sweet!!! But that is enough of that..

I worked on the Tundra over the weekend as well as tonight started on the front shock towers and mocking up the front motor Mount so I can tie it all together.
check it out. ...

Used some fab tabs from RPP and some 3/16 sleeves and brazed it all together.

Also fabbed in my firewall that will tie in my shock towers and motor mount.

I've got quite a bit more bracing to put in up front but you get the idea.

Needed a new style motor brace plate to accommodate the BWD FOff billet motor plate

Made a cardboard template

Then cut and ground 1 outta .083 CF!!

It will look similar to my C2 comp buggy pictured below when its all mounted up in the "1/2 Tundra"

Didn't see the reply. But, very cool indeed. It's a nice change from the regular straight metal tabs you usually see.

I've been trying to do a front mount motor in my c3/u4 chassis for a while but haven't been able to work a way to still use a dig trans in the centre but I love the way you have tackled this!
I remember seeing it in your Caddy and c2 builds but never thought it would work in mine but I think it will actually work perfectly.

Just wondering what you did to be able to use the spur shaft run through the trans for the tcase shaft?

Keen to see how you have modded the shafts to work between the two trans cases.

This thing is turning iout great im really happy with it. ...

I've had a few ask about assembly pics on my custom front motor mount and I'm happy to share

First pic is Axial slipper shaft modified (carefully ground) for the front motor mount case. .. aluminum spur flange is required from Hot Racing. ..

You must use a plastic axial trans to cut up for mounting purposes and pass through for spur/driveshaft. Also can either use stock upper gear or spacer of equivalent length.

Second shaft is AX10 style (non slipper) for the T-case or Axial trans. .
