Picked this chassis up that my friend Jesse Walker had started.
Loved the lines as it was inspired by a Wide Open Design chassis.

Jesse is an amazing air brush artist! We talked about a possible paint scheme and man did he nail it!!!

The chassis was originally designed for SCX10 axles had Jesse change up a few things to accept a set of Wraith axles and I would take care of the rest.

Going to reuse the drive train from my old tuber along with a few extra things.
AX2 2 speed with HD output shaft.
Tekin Roc 412 3100kv
CC MMP
Castle BEC
HiTec 7955
Built AR60 axles with the usual fair. OD & UD gears,Axial universals,C hubs,knuckles,diff covers, VP trusses,etc etc
King 110mm shocks for a Slash
Suck down winch
Some scale goodies fuels cell nitrous bottle and the Erytl die cast LS1 ive been sitting on for years.

Got it in basic mock up and made a list of what i was going to change to fit my needs.

Changed a few things up and made mounts for the scale LS1. added a battery tray and a place to mount the winch controller along with a few other things. Added some more 3/16 chromoly tube,finished up the welding and cleaned everything up.

After a few more mock ups and tweaks i was happy with what i had. I had originally planned to powder coat the chassis but that seemed a bit much since i was gonna actually use this and not have it sit on a shelf so chassis and roll bar paint is the way I went.

It became pretty clear my original plans for a Wraith interior was not gonna happen after getting it all in the chassis. LOL
So i cut an old JK body for the interior and added some scale details.

Really liking the rear engine LS1! Looks just like the 1:1 i saw in person in TN at Golden Mt OHV.

Used a set of Rock Krawler extended rear links to strecth the final WB out to 14 1/4"

Motoworx wheel and CI foams installed and on. REALLY like the Motoworx wheels. Easiest set of beadlocks I have EVER put together!
Love the stance long low and mean!
Still need some tuning finish work etc dying to get it out in the rocks!

I've had it out a few times now and holy crap I love this thing!!!!
Short course truck fast in high gear, low stance is very stable handles great at speed and climbs darn near verticals rock faces!
Was concerned about the die cast LS motor being a lil to
much weight in the back at first. Yeah that's not an issue! Lol
Love the suck down winch! Been playing around with spring rates and shock oil.
Think I have it pretty well dialed in!

Finally came up with a name for this build.
OVERKILL
At the end of our local crawler comps we usually have a bash session and a tug if war just for fun.
Got called out after winning the crawler tug of war.
Actually beat my buddies E-Revo on 6S in a tug of war.
Yeah I got lucky! Lol

Yeah the name seems fitting to me as well.
Besides the skulls in the paint remind me of some of the album cover from the older thrash metal band Overkill.
