Default High Horsepower K2-3L Just Finished

I just got to the point where it was driveable today. I love it I have been working on it for about 4 weeks now on and off. Kinda hard working full time but the worst part was waiting for all my stuff to come in. This is my second crawler build my first was a boyer tube clod, pics of that sometime soon. Now on to the details of the rig. The rear end is locked front is open. The truck preforms extremely well and I cant wait to get some videos of it up soon. For now just pics and if it was daylight action pics would be up, maybe tomorrow.

Chassis: K2-3L
Axle: TLT w/JP Custom Knuckles and Bearings + Fat Rock Axle C's
Transmission: RC4WD R-2

Tires: Moabs

Truck looks good.

Say goodbye to those Pede sliders though. A 5.5 brushless is going to eat'em up

I already know I am going to get some Punisher shafts from RC4WD. I will Review all the parts I am using and post it in this thread. Thanks for the comments and please dont dis the screws the hold the body post collar on I couldnt find an allen wrench to put the set screws in But let me know what I need to change and let the comments flow.

X2 , normally i hate chevy bodies but i'm liking the '07s.
BTW be careful with the 5.5 you might want to consider something other than a pede shaft...

I'm guessing those plastic yokes aren't long for this world either.

I know you said you will review the parts, but thus far how do you feel about the longer output shaft on the r2? Seem plenty sturdy? Think that will be the tranny to beat.

Sweet rig. Love the body, looks clean.

At first I thought it would put more stress on the bearings but I have looked at it and I really dont think it will cause that many problems. In fact I am glad that it is like that because my drive shaft would hit skid plate and I would have to trim it. This makes it so that my driveshafts start to travel downward right at the end of the skid plate. I will post a better review tonight and tell you how the motor/esc combo is working out.

I dont think its going to self destruct but I would say I will eat up a few hundred pede sliders until I get the punisher shafts. It is running an 8 tooth pinion and it has plenty of torque and top speed.

thanks for the feedback on the tranny. I don't really see how there will be much stress on it either. There shouldn't be any lateral force on it, since the drive shafts just collapse on each other. Took a look at those punisher shafts, man $80 for drive shafts WOW. I guess it beats having a broken rig most of the time.

Well I wheeled the truck some more today and I love it. It has all the power I need and it can still be controlled at low speeds. The R-2 is looking better and better, the only thing that I can see that needs to be changed is one of the screws had to be taken out to use the 8 tooth pinion that came with it because the motor I am running has larger end bells than a standard motor. Also I would like to see the output shafts have a hole drilled all the way through for the pede slider set screw. But it is going to be offered as an option from what I hear and a output shaft that is the same length on both ends I think is going to be offered. The R-2 seems like it will hold up to whatever I can throw at it. Yall will get to see what it will hold up to tomorrow, I am going to post some video of it "Rock Racing" in a large creek behind my house.
