This kit looks absolutely crazy! I can't wait to see what you think of the disc brake. I haven't ever seen one of those used on an electric RC and am curious to see how it works with reverse. I suppose if you have a separate servo controlling it, you could just use the drag brake to slow the vehicle down and then use the disc brake as an e-brake? I'm not quite sure how that'd help in an electric RC though... |

| Re: Capo 1:8 Jeep CD15823 Just a guess, but it may be that you need separate channels so the the two can be mixed to take into account the different throws of the different servos.

Tired of waiting for parts. I decided to cannibalize the tatra for its servo. I'll replace it with the one I ordered for the jeep. Will work out better this way anyways, the one im waiting on is rated at 486 oz and the one im robbing is only 425 oz. its better suited for the tatra its gotta turn 4 tires vs 2. Now I gotta spend a few hrs tearing down the tatra motor.... Ugh.. |

Me personally, I wouldn't waste the time on something I'll have to replace in BOTH trucks.. If u want the 1/8 jeep done right I'd just wait for the proper servos to show... (Just think when u realize u shulda waited) |

| Re: Capo 1:8 Jeep CD15823 Id rather not wait 2 more weeks for the servo to arrive. I dont know how much more "proper" putting a 425 oz servo in the jeep I can get. Its way more then enough torque. Where as the tatra can use all the torque it can get. Hence why ill install the stronger server later... So uh... Yeah, not sure what your on about.

| Re: Capo 1:8 Jeep CD15823 The brakes only affect the rear wheels until you shift into 4wd. Then its stopping all 4. Unless of course the diffs are set to open. Then theres always the risk of the diffs unloading on steep/slippery inclines. I actually had the happen to me once driving a 40' boom truck down a steep snowy incline while fully loaded. That was scary as hell!
