Read through your entire 8x8 build thread (current CI tow rig) today for some professional ideas. That's still a super nice rig and one of the best multi axle rigs here. Excited to see what you do with the bed on this one! Wes |

With the CXT @ 1/6 and Jeepspeed @ 1/10, the CXT is proportionate in size as a 1:1 semi and Jeep. Whomever decided that the CXT should be labeled as a 1/6 should have their head examined, |

Since I extened my rear wheelbase, it jacked with my rear shock setup. So, some shock mounting science. Almighty Malachi is my suspension advisor and is a super genius and stuff. Shocks need to be perpendicular to lower link at full bump. Good for axle or trailing arm setup. This is a good general setup for all cars, if you want to be able to tune correctly with various spring rates. Lets the spring work as designed, in a consistent linear fashion until full compression. Resists bottoming out if correct spring is chosen. Old setup and 90deg bar showing where it needs to be. Tacked in place and checking against perpendicularity. |

Oh yea. Rear sway bar. Wraith setup. $13 on ebay. Its the front and the bar is too short but I have the rear wraith sway bars, a little longer. 3/16 tube for bar to ride in. Few tweaks with some spacers cause my frames are never square. Not perfect but it will work for me. |

Looks good. Your welding as come along way and also looking good. If you want to get crazy... Look into stainless mig wire. No rust and welds better.

Thanks. Ive been rushing and blobbing welds here and there. Don't stare at one spot too long. Still figuring out settings for various thicknesses of joining metals. | |

The whole rig is looking great. Did you use chrome tint on the windows? I didn't remember them being so reflective.

Are you going to skin the body with aluminum or styrene?

| Re: Szczerba's Second CXT Build I ordered 0.020, 0.030 and 0.060 black styrene sheets in 24"x48". Picture on page 4. Going to try to use one piece of 0.030 over the back, formed around frame. The 0.030 hasnt showed up yet but I do have the 0.020 and 0.060. Bed flat piece is 0.060. Ill practice with the 0.020 stuff tomorrow. About done with most of welding work. |

Started the dreaded one piece experiment. Let the piece sit in sun for 30 mins to preheat the styrene. Used a 1" dowel to get start of bend going. Marked the sheet on both sides where I needed them to bend. Then just Heat and patience and guessing and crossing fingers. Bam, one shot and I got it. ScalerFab tabs |
