FreqEskinZ decals were printed today. Should be finishing up this truck in the next week or so.

So after staring for a bit are the wheels glue on in the front side and beadlock on the rear?

Can't wait to see these graphics.

Yup, same setup as TTC.

Yup, see above. CA holds fine, even on 4s and 2300kv with 15lbs TTC truck.

Delrin by design is not very porous, so you have to prep it properly before CA will stick. Scuff the crap out of it, and make sure it's super clean. Thin CA works best.

Oh yeah, I did sand the wheel beads and cleaned with acetone or alcohol after.

You know I love big stuff and the rigs you build rock everytime...but I gotta ask. Whats up with the breakover angle? Is this an example of link geometry overruling capability?

I dig the steelwork. Such a versatile material. When I read your builds I KNOW it will be completed and with those custom touches we all like to see.

You would be surprised how a well setup truck can perform. The break over angle is a non issue compared to the actual way the suspension makes the truck move on the rocks. Trust me, this subframe, suspension and shock setup is the best option for trucks over 12lbs.

Check out this truck and some of the videos. Same subframe setup. Lower links parallel to ground at ride height. One of the most capable big trucks I have ever built and drove.

Szczerba's 2.2 TTC truck Video at the ARCC TTC Produced by Hillrod RC Films

This truck worked great too. Similar subframe setup.

Right on. I assume you mean that it provides a strong forward movement? I dont doubt your experience in big truck susp setups. I bet you have built more lbs of rigs than anyone on this forum. Its just that in my terrain and experiences...every mm of belly clearance you gain will help you keep your line. In my experience losing your line will end your attempt at an obstacle in a rig that big and heavy.

This makes me wanna build my 1/6 avalanche and run my h2. Your cxt is what inspired me to build my h2. Rock on.

I wish someone was getting video of my TTC truck at the CO TTC Rubicon course. Just bouncing up and over mega big rocks with holes and gaps a plenty. No major issues with break overs.
With break overs, alot of it comes from forward momentum and weight distribution, oh and wheelspeed.
Don't get caught up on achieving maximum ground clearance or you'll sacrifice having weight up higher up. Again, a correctly setup suspension is key to a truck that performs on any type of terrain. I'll run this subframe setup 10 out of 10 times on a heavier truck over a truck that maximizes ground clearance.

I got to wheel the TTC truck a little bit at Disney. I can attest to its capability, and it does not at all drive like its that heavy. Surprisingly nimble, and as Szczerba said, breakover can be compensated for in your approach.

Mock up up the DCW built wheels. Too lazy to put the windshield and inner fenders back in right now.

CI built axles

Had to trim off axles shafts to fit hubs. Before picture

Going to do a little more metal work to protect the front fenders, full mock up, tear down and then paint the chassis. Wrap and decals were printed last week by FreqEskinZ.

Thanks. Inching along towards completion. Been busy at work, lazy when I get home and sprinkle some vacation days in.

Added some front and rear fender protection.
Had to think of how to do the fronts as the whole front bumper is on a hinge.

Default Szczerba's Second CXT Build

Got the chassis finished welded and painted with engine block paint. Had to bake it for an hour at 200degs but the oven wasnt big enough, so I improvised. Wife just happened to be out of town today.

Redid the driveshafts now that the two speed is in.
