As a pipeline welder myself, you have done a very good job on your build.

Thanks, it ain't perfect but google image searching and tips from others have helped me out to get it somewhat believable. I've never seen a full setup in person, so I am just winging it. As far as the bed, I think all that is left is to make a mount for the mud board and find a ~6" umbrella. As well as making torch and welder lead wires. Not to mention painting and detailing.

| Re: Szczerba's F350 Welder Rig Trials rider? I haven't ridden much in the past few years but I've got a 2000 GasGas TXT280 that I love. Really needs a top end rebuild before I ride it much more though.

Nice! Im eyeing a 2006 Beta 270 here in my little ol town. Well, I'm a new Vintage trial bike owner. Never rode one. Just working on it to get it reliable. Just swapped in a new 26mm Mikuni carb among a few other small things. A steal I couldn't pass up at $900. Yamaha 1974 TY250

Nice, the old bikes are pretty capable too. I started out riding my dads '75 Honda TL125 that he got brand new when he was 11, eventually put a 145 kit in it. Unfortunately it hasn't run much since 07 when I got my GG. We don't really do trials in the strictest sense, they just make great woods bikes and turn double black diamond trails into child's play.

I've started digging into this rig. I can't believe how intricate it is! Shane must have burned through a couple bottles of Advil on this build! But, the engineering is what I appreciate most. Pictures and progress later tonight. |

I've decided to start a new thread for this build in the 1.9 section. It will be titled Bulldog's Szczerba's F350 Welder Rig in the 1.9 section. Thanks for following along. Hopefully I can finish this rig up and make Shane proud. |

Thanks for taking up this project! I know it will turn out way better than what I could have done with it on my time schedule. I'll be following along.
