Thanks Chuck! I think if the old Sami tuber were there it would have been an even matchup in the tugowar.

Thanks man! I love to build em more than run to be honest. But I can't just leave em alone. The chassis is super easy to deal with if it breaks. The body is more of a challenge due to the fact it's custom made from two. But it's just too dang fun out on the trail to leave it at home!!

Default #BRODOZER - Class 3 F350 - Diesel brothers rock buggy Replica

Superdrty and I went over to Phil's after work yesterday. Had a great time on the trails. However. I lost one front drive wheel about 5min in and the other front one right before we finished.

Snapped both front drive pins for the hexes.

This is the first time I've ever snapped those pins on any rig ever. Including all my heavy brushless rigs in the past. Not sure if it was the pins or what. The pins and the hexes were brand new going into this build. I may try some proline clamping hexes for the slash...

One of the downsides to the rc4wd militants is that they use the flat 12mm hex. Not the bigger one like comes standard on the wraith.

No but since he uses music wire I might just pick some up from the hardware store and make my own.

It's weird that the rear ones have had no issues. They have taken a serious beating.

I love the ssd diamond axles. But the one gripe I've had since the beginning is the relatively loose fit on the chubs. Tcs crawlers had a sale on vanquish parts so I ordered up some scale vanquish chubs.

Let me tell you. These fit super tight and then you add the clamping feature and bam, ready to rock. The gray color isn't dead on but close enough.

Plus I needed to put some vanquish bushings in the knuckles.

I took the Brodozer to the comp in Two Harbors just for fun. I ended up running it on one of the courses for fun. Even at 11 lbs and 15" wb I made it thru course 2 with 4 reverses and 1 rollover. Using rear steer of course lol. The same course I ran out of time with my comp truck. Sadly we don't allow rear steer on comp trucks.

Thanks man!

She is definitely my favorite build I've done to date. Super fun to drive and amazingly capable considering the size and weight. Other than shearing the two front hex pins she's been really robust too.

Did you make you hex pins? I got mine from gunnar, I twisted the top shaft pins in the transmission in my 6x6. I went ahead and changed all the pin in the whole thing hopefully less down time.

That's one really nice truck you have there. I have an F-350 2.2 rig too, not quite as nice, but people usually have the term 'beast' or 'awesome' in their looking it over. I'm sure you hear those descriptive terms frequently.

Has anyone put in first dibs on it if you sell it? If not, I just did!

Not yet. I just put in some replacements. My local hardware store was out of the right dia music wire. These have been holding up so we'll see what I do next.

Thanks man! Yes I get a lot of comments and looks. Especially with the sound card making that deep diesel sound.

I think you're about 4th in line of people offering to buy it. We'll have to see after this season what I do with it ;)

Just a small update. I ordered 1230 servos for the supersix but figured why not use then here instead. So I swapped out the 1231s for 56oz more of torque and some grey Robitronic arms.

There was a trail run gtg tonight I stopped by and got the dozer on the obstacles. Even at 11lbs she can pull some lines...thanks to rear steer lol

Thanks dude, I appreciate the feedback.

Small update.

Since I sold the FJ 40 sans electronics. I decided to throw in the roc412 2300kv into this rig. Love the control of that motor vs the 3100. Plus running on 4s is all kinds of fun. I had it installed in a full bombproof trans so now the Brodozer is ready for some hardcore abuse.

And now it begins. The refresh before crawlapalooza. Need to fix a few things and check bearings and change up the electronics a bit.

This last one is just to show the kink in the roof rack.

I started working on the body to repaint it. Let's just say that the color that was on there was barely holding on. I was able to peel a bunch off the cab and peeled the hood clean.

.

This is the only body I've ever had problems painting over a polycarbonate paint with regular spray paint. I'm not sure if it's because I use duratrax black instead of tamiya or if it was the cat yellow I used??.....

Either way it'll be fresh for crawlapalooza.
