DieselRC Thanks! Both your F-350 and trailer are great, I thought about using Tamiya body, but decided to build from scratch.

Short demonstration of the chassis.
None of my other rigs could not afford to go down from that height.

Thanks!
I upgraded it to 4 motor by sacrificing part of the interior.
It worked fine when tested, but I had a feeling like the motors are working close to power limit when climbing.

I also have a Mad Torque dual ESC - dual motor each, which I got for the snowcat.

This is nuts. Where do you learn to do stuff like this? I would be missing more than half of my fingers by now.

I tested it on the floor, without a body, when the chassis is up against the wall, the wheels continue to spin at about half or one-third speed, despite the fact that the wheels are big and whole chassis is quite heavy.

Continue to work with the bed.

The bed is done!

Interesting, I used the same primer, but this one has a slightly lighter tint.

Thanks! Moving to the next step - painting. Classic blue colour with a white line.

This is the same technique that was used to paint the GTO: candle, acrylic paint and water. I try to use it less at this time, but I just can not stop.
Mask with a tape, paint white, then mask again and paint blue.
Stick the tape on the floor or somewhere first to make it not so sticky, otherwise it will peel the paint.

Using Modern Masters Metal Effects Kit to make rust.

Apply 2-3 layers of Iron Paint, wait until it dries, then apply the Rust Activator, wait a couple of minutes and repeat a few times.
Make sure that the surface is horizontal, to protect the Rust Activator from dripping.

Drying by a fan makes it flat and bright, cover the surface to make it deeper and more red.
The left wheel was lying on top when drying, right one - underneath.

And that's all I have painted to date.

Bike flashlight to make the rear lights.

The rust has a bright yellow tint this time, although I painted the same way. It's kind of unpredictable, kind of mysterious.

Absolutely amazing job!

I think a set of RC4WD Mud Basher tires would look right at home on such a large beast of a truck!
