| Hairba11's 1:8 version of Hogan's Hot Rod (with Mad Moose Portals)
Back in the day doing crawlapalooza at disney OK at Hogan's Offroad Park, i got to go for a ride with Hogan in is Hot Rod. this was one of the coolest rigs i've ridden in. i loved the look of it. I'm rooting through photobucket and posting images again as i can't find my piece of graph paper i drew the 1:8 scale chassis on. i have 2.2 stompers, and solid black delrin beadlocks with red rings, 7ish years ago i was playing with highlift axles and integy axial portals and trying to make that work, now i have stumbled into a set of the Moose Portal Axles, (thanks Grunt95) so this build will have to happen now. |

Today I made huge progress on the build Bench went from To this And that's it. Ok, not quite. I rooted around and found my box of parts. I have the eritex? Comp solid bead lock wheels, missing rings. A set of 2.2 stompers, and a set of 2,2 swampers. Also had my original set of axles I was planning on using for the build. And ran into my first complications. The link mounts bolt to the top of the axle and due to asymmetry can't be mounted on the bottom. Guess custom fab will be starting early. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I've been cleaning the garage and going through boxes trying to find my drawing I made off of measurements I took 6 or 7 years ago. No luck on the drawing. But I've found a lot of missing treasure. I even found the beadlock rings for the eritex wheels! I also have filled the 2 yard dumpster at work with old crap. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Awesome rig! Do you have any more info on the 1:1 counterpart? It has a very Mad Max feel to it. Also, where did you find the Unimog axles? Are they just Tamiya units? |
