Thats a nice looking truss. Almost looks like a cool start to a center consul.

Great work. Love the truss design. More holes more better.

Absolutely nuts.

After all these years it still surprises me how damn good you are at sheet metal.

Thanks Jon!

Well, the trusses are on, and it's starting to look like something.

Time to tackle the front upper shock mounts.

I'm using the shock mounts that Will Lockwood had on his "Too much thinking TTC" rig for inspiration on this truck.

Too of shock mount is bent.

Side piece cut to fit and drilled, will need to make another.

Very nice Tim, I like the updates to this thread and seeing how your metal working skills have progressed over the years. Scale journeyman metal worker.

Thanks. Fairly happy with them.

Front transmission/motor mount is in. It goes to a transfer case with the top and bottom gear from an Axial trans.

Almost forgot. Finished up the rear axle. Got the steering links all made and hooked up. Getting close to putting electronics in and driving it.

Some of it is time consuming, but I love it!

I'm hoping to get it wired and running today. I have a feeling we'll be tweaking it Saturday night though.....

Back from the Eastern WA scale comp.

Learned a few things.....

Skid hung up on everything so it's getting a new flat one.
Needs 2.2 tires.
Too high geared.
I'm going to love it.

Let's start with the new skid. It's going to be flush with the bottom of the rails.

Cut a new skid and milled a 1/4" radius in both sides.

Also milled out a pocket for the t-case to get the floor as low as possible.

Much better!
