Default Stuck's UCFab PRT HD

Well after talking to a few PRT drivers I sent Kyle a message and got the ball rolling. A few months have gone by talking with Kyle and getting all the details together and finally this showed up at my door. What an awesome little chassis. Been collecting parts for the last 5 months for this build. Here is whats in store.

UCFab PRT HD Chassis W/ Light bar mount and PRT skid

UCFab leading and trailing arms

UCFab Sway bars

VP Curries F & R with 43/13 UD gears and VP knucks and C's. Axial Wraith universals up front and VP rear shafts

VP Light Bar

VP trans Case, Steel Gears, Super Shafty extended outputs (still working on a spur/slipper combo)

VP KMC Enduro 2.2 Wheels 1.2 wide

Pro Line Pro Spec shocks

Ottsix 2.2 KLR's

Crawler innovations Foams. 5.5 Double Deuce W/ Med outers F&R

MIP drive shafts F&R

Hitec 7950

Castle MMP

Castle BEC

Tekin Pro4 4300kv

TI F&R upper links

Skins. maybe Krawler Konceptz. No template available so I'll need to get crafty

Still need to pick up some parts on my list but here is a couple pics of the chassis and its time to get busy!

Been a little busy around here and I haven't had much time to work on the PRT. But I did manage to get a few things done.

Sway Bars, Leading and trailing arms.

Almost got the axles all buttoned up. Just need to finish greasing them up, install diff covers and truss's

Thanks Chump, Get ready. It will be done soon.........I hope

Little more progress. I used some 30mm spacers and 3mm rod ends to make up my sway bar links and got them installed. Should work out fine. I got the shocks and rear axle bolted up as well and had to space the shocks out 6mm to clear the chassis.

Only one problem, Axle truss hits the sway bar before full compression. I have a centered pumpkin currie that im gonna swap in and that should cure this problem.

Well I finally got around to swapping out the off center Currie to the centered Currie and it solved my problem of the axle hitting the sway bar. New problem was the axle hitting the chassis but a 5mm external limiter on the shocks and were good to go.

A little more travel over the offset axle and it tucks up in the chassis a little now

Also got some templates for the skins cut out. Still working on the final shape but its a start. A few more parts are in the mail so I should be able to finish up the drive train soon. Thanks for Looking

Those are some Howler Custom Master link knock offs I built. They are an adjustable link so I can set my pinion angle where I want it and I'll have my eye to eye measurement to build a solid link

Its been a little bit but I had a few parts and pieces show up. My trans and drive shaft parts finally arrived and I was able to finish up the drive train.

Front link didn't need much to clear the drive shaft. Just a slight bend and were good. Probably bent it a little more than it needed so I may adjust that a bit later

Even clears the chassis cross member

Tires and electronics showed up too

Gonna mount the KLR's on these Axial Methods for now with CI Double Deuce's. Med outers front and rear.

I dropped the skid to make everything a little easier. Made a little bracket to mount the ESC. Ready to go back in!

Thanks For looking

its REALLY rough so I didn't show much. It was on one of my scalers and made to mount on top of the trans. Couldn't install it on top because it interfered with the interior so I moved it off to the side. I could only use 1 mounting hole now but its not going anywhere. Its made out of angled aluminum.

Got some more wrench time in over the weekend.

Re installed the skid with all the goodies.

Servo and steering installed but noticed horn just barely hits the chassis. Gonna have to take a look at how I can move that servo back a bit.

Made a fire wall out of ABS to hide, mount and protect the electronics. Top part will serve as a mounting point for the interior as well. Still have some wire routing and soldering to finish up.

Also got the KLR's mounted up. CI DD Foams with medium outer ring F/R. Still need to settle on a track width and get some hubs. If they work as good as they look I'll be alright

Thanks for looking

You are far more patient than I am. If I don't get a new build together in a couple days I lose my mind. I'm in line for one of these as well. I have everything I need to get it together the day it arrives. lol

Man I wish I could work non stop on it but I have too many projects. These chassis are really nice, you wont be disappointed and yes you definitely have time to collect parts while waiting.

Well Im almost there!

I really wanted a spur cover so I found a stock Axial Wraith Slipper, motor plate and cover on Ebay for $14 and swapped out the AX10 slipper and BWD motor plate. Looking at the Super Shafty motor plate option to bring back some rigidity I lost going back to the stock plate. We'll see how it holds up.

Fabbed up a battery tray out of ABS.

Battery tray installed, skid back in and all wires routed.

And Its RTR! Smallest hubs I had were some 750's which puts me @ 12 3/8 width. Aiming for about 11 3/4 to 12". I think some 450's might be the ticket.

HPI Interior installed.

I transferred my cereal box templates onto some lexan and my skins are ready for some paint! After that I need to do some shock tuning and were ready to hit the track

Thanks For Looking

Been a little bit since I worked on this. Had a little problem with my Achilles ( I detached it) so the garage hasn't been the most comfortable place. So heres a little update. I picked up a Duuuuude De-wanger to fix my servo hitting the chassis problem. Hopefully this fixes the issue.

Also had a little problem with the skid. Not sure how this happened, but it did. Kyle sent me another skid, but its unfinished. Supposedly every chassis is different and they cant drill it. Looks like I have to drill my own mounting/lower link holes and widen the pockets a bit because the ball ends wont even fit. Not happy about that but it will give me something to do while im laid up. last skid was milled out and the new one is solid so I don't think I'll have this problem again.

Lastly I decided to upgrade the Axial plastic Methods. I just didn't trust them to be reliable so I picked up a set of VP KMS Enduor 1.2 wide wheels during the RPP sale. I had some blue rings laying around so I thought I would use those to add a touch of detail to match the other blue parts. Just have to build the last 2 and mount up the KLR's

Thanks for Looking!
