Ok ok, I am old and slow... The truck not so much, lol. Siow that is.

Thanks for going and playing toy trucks today, had tons of fun.

A couple of pics from the day, I played in the water a lot...

And a carnage shot...

Don't worry the Bronco was unfazed by the collision...

Got her all straightened out last week and hit the trail again...

To say the trail was soggy, would be an understatement, lol.

Well I haven't hit the trail in a while...

HLDMYBR and I did today, made it about 4.5 or miles up the trail, and his steering servo bit the dust. My shift servo died before even making it out of the parking lot! Bad day for electronics. I also broke a upper rear link, and was able to put it back together on the trail.

We threw both trucks on our backpacks and booked it back to the parking lot.

All said, even a bad day on the trail is better than a good day at work.

I spent time in the shop today.

I had cut new frame rails a while back, and started assembling them today. I put the shorty 70mm shocks on the trailing arms and mounted them to the frame. Good artiulation and flex, not to much...

Traxxas big bores went up front with strc aluminum shock towers...

Frame and suspension mounted up...

And proposed ride height...

Thanks Hillbilly.

My rigs are always evolving and this is one of the first that I have documented fully...

Spent more time in the shop.

Body is mounted now, and about a tires height of flex...

And a size comparison to my little honcho...

Thanks, a little lift makes all the difference...

Loaded the chassis with a bit of weight... And she comes in at 6 lbs 1 oz if you believe my scale...

Despite her looks she isn't top heavy, being every bit as stable as my low profile honcho.

The bare chassis with electronics hanging off....

I threw my old solar servo on board, boy is it noisy. I am not planning on hitting any water in the near future at least until I get my new servo anyway.. The hitec is now residing as a shift servo.
I also ordered a jx wp 30kg servo

I got her out on the trail today, and boy was the trail busy. Truck did really well, even though she gained an inch of lift, and was really well balanced. She climbed test hill without hardly a tire slip and wasn't upset by the off camber, suprising me. Only went 2 miles, before the cvd pins came out, and bound up the front of the truck. So I threw her on my pack and called it a day...

A couple pictures...

So I pulled her off the stand, and swapped some electronics around...

Put my new JX 30kg servo in, and my HH Brxl with a 27t motor.
the 3000 kv brushless is awsome for power, but extremely hard on parts... (Cvd's)
Plus I have a itchy throttle finger...

Working on inner fenders, and a cab back....
