| Using SSD Diamond front Axle as rear
Hey guys, I'm going to go against my gut instinct, and try running an SSD front axle, as a rear which looks easy enough to do so long as I purchase a REAR link mount. Which leads me to my question, with the rear link mount installed on the SSD Diamond front axle (along with lockouts) will the Diamond's offset be on the same side as the stock offset when used as a rear? I.e. the drivers side? I'm not sure why I'm having a hard to visualizing this, but I wanted someone to confirm for me. Thank you. I remember reading a thread at some point of someone having an issue not being able to run the ssd diamond front as a rear with the pumpkin on the same side as stock. Thanks. |

I run this set-up on my Bomber...no issues and everything lines up perfectly.

| Re: Using SSD Diamond front Axle as rear Good to hear. I looked through your threads specifically because they are my main motivation in getting the SSD axles, and it looked to me like you ran Centered Rears on both your ifs bomber and your SA bomber. I ordered up a set of fronts one to be used as a rear. Can't wait to give them a shot.

The B1B Bomber uses a centered SSD rear axle and the "regular" Bomber has offset SSD axles front and rear (It started with a centered axle and then I changed it).

The axle can be flipped so it is on the same side as the front. You can see an image of the assembled axle here at the bottom of the page: *Diamond Rear Axle Upper Link Mount (Black) A question for everyone: A Bomber trans rear output extension should allow a centered rear to be used right? |

| Re: Using SSD Diamond front Axle as rear Just finished up my rear SSD offset. I am very very pleased with the machining and fit-up. Such an awesome simple design! Currently have plastic lock outs on it, but will replace them tommorow if I make it to the LHS. Plan on giving these SSD's a beating this weekend if the weather holds.
