Default The "Macho Taco"

So it been a while since Ive built anything but when I saw the "Macho Taco" I was awe inspired...So with hundreds of pages of build threads read I embarked into my journey to build the Macho Taco and make it 801RCC Ultra 4 ready...

So I searched many want ads and classifieds to find the right Tacoma for my build...After weeks of Taco hunting I found this little gem, it was a flat bed so I went to the local pick a part and grabbed a bed

Parts are going to consist of:

SCX based
AR60 axles-Ordered
Wraith interior-Check
HD links that will take the abuse of Ultra4-Check
New Wheels (not sure which ones)-Ordered
R35 RipSaws or Proline TSL's-Check
MMPro
Pro 4 3300 or 4600
7950th-Check
Winch-Check

I wasn't really feeling the huge honcho bumper so I re assigned it to the rear for tire carrier duty since I chopped the bed up also laid down some paint cause I'm a little ocd...

With plans to run rip saws and seeing how they are much bigger than the million dollar moabs I called up my buddy Dirk with Boobicon racing to see if he had any tires laying around...Lucky me he did...so while the Macho Taco was in the paint booth I ran over and picked up some RTR R35s for mock up and a spare....

Fresh out of the paint booth!!!

I like the paint, but I think some big 1.9s would look better on there for scale. BUT, it looks fun!

I thought about the 1.9's but the largest are 4.80"...With the Wraith axles under it, it will look much better

The OG has 42's

Stay tuned

Yeah they're few and far between

Thanks E

I got a little more done over the long weekend on the Taco...
Body detailed a bit...

I really didnt like the Wraith bumper on it so I chopped it up a little to match the OG

Also made a rear light bar, we are going Ultra4 racing after all
I still have to mount it and finish the details but you get the gist of it

And since the styrene was out I fabbed together a new fuel cell since the Honcho one is kinda hoakey and remote tube to make fill ups easier

That is all for now

I really like your custom use of production parts this is really one of my favorite things to do with my scalers.

Coming from the man himself!!!

Thanks brotha!!! Your rig is top notch and I love how you like to keep your body clean and not beat the shit out it but still wheel it hard!!!However the flop was sad to watch, I cant believe how much damage it caused...Have you swapped the body out yet???

1 ton axles and TSL's should be here next week then we'll really get the party started

Any chance of mini Rockbrawlers stickers or a vector file so I can print a couple???
