I’m having a problem. I hooked up the motor to the ESC and when I power on as try to go it make a weird noise and my lights dim out. Checked the wires to Esc switched the A and C wires but it does the same thing. Not sure what is wrong. I did but the motor off a buddy but I know it worked when I got it. The Esc and motor get real hot really quick too!!! Stuck and out of ideas. Not sure what to do Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

If both got hot really quickly that's bad news. Are you sure the polarity of all the components, including battery, were plugged in/soldered correctly? Do you have another ESC and/or motor to try? |

If both are getting hot quickly like that there's a really good chance that the motor has been overheated in the past and has lost it's magnetic force. If this is the case, the motor is garbage. From what you describe, it sounds pretty likely that the motor is pooched but without more testing it's tough to say. As Jato said, do you have another motor or esc to test with? First thing I'd do is hook up a different motor to that esc and see what happens. |
