Default Robotboy's Sporty UTB

I moved this here to the 2.2 section, since it is. Some changes have been made since the first posting.

I've been wanting to put together a sporty type rig for a bit. But also wanted
something kinda scale looking. When the Capra came out I liked
the looks of the cage frame so I decided to see what I could put together.
Plus I like to tinker
I had a set of axles I could use and misc. other bits so I picked up a cage
and skid. I wanted to use the trans (locked) but couldn't get the gearing
right for the axles. So more tinkering ensued.

Specs (updated) as of now, more upgrades as $$ permit.

Axles;
Front: Ottsix TKO-10, brass tubes, OD gears, VP vvds and SSD C's & Knucks.
Rear: Ottsix TKO-10, brass tubes, hardened gears and Boom Racing lockouts.
Capra frame cage, skid and interior.
DLux Ham Berger transmission.
CC Mamba Max, waterproofed.
BEC, waterproofed.
Surpass 55T motor, 12T pinion.
RC4WD Ultimate Scale shocks.
SPT 35kg WP servo.
Boom Racing 2.2 Hustler M/TX Tires.
Chanquish Aluminum beadlocks.
Homebrew aluminum panels, hood and roof.
10mm LED headlights with homebrew switch on CH3.

Didn't take a lot of pics during the build but here's a few for now.
I was excited to pick up a Dlux Ham Berger trans for this build.
Heard good things and it's low profile. Turned out to be perfect for me.

Original pics, 13.5"WB, Gmade shocks & 20t motor.

The electronics all buttoned up.

Some rear deck panels, fill line and a quick muffler

And some poser shots

I'll upload some updated pics tomorrow.

Some updated pics and updated specs.
Now sitting at 12.5" wheelbase. New shoes, 35kg servo,
delrin lower rear links, lowered the ride height and
RC4WD Ultimate scale shocks. 90mm front and 70mm
out back. All with soft springs. So far the sporty crawls well
but still have a few things to do.

Small update for this one. Added an "In The Works" flat capra skid, some
85mm no-name scale shocks and replaced the motor with one I through
together; 55T hand wound arm in an Integy can. Very pleased with the
speed and torque. Thing handles very well and climbs like crazy. Final specs
and posers for those who care.
