Sick rig! I love 4ws. How do you like it? I almost prefer 2.2 over 1.9

What tires are you using?

I like to comp so the 2.2/larger tire is another class for me.

I just finished the 4ws and it really increases the capability. The tighter steering is a given but but you can also use to get that tire right were you want it. You can almost pic two lines to run at the same time BUT it can also screw you if you turn at the wrong time. I think with enough practice the added benefit will be incredible.

I am running Hyrax G8 with stock foams.

I have some old proline hammers 2.2. They are 2.2 rim and the advertised outer diameter is 4.9 but they sit smaller than my Hyrax 4.75. I liked them until I got my Hyrax broke in. BUt the 2.2 Hyrax were so big.

I did use the hammers on courses where I thought side hill maybe be an issue because the Hyrax 2.2 were so large. Ounce I went to the LCG chassis, played around tuning the suspension, electronics placement and weight (distribution and loosing weight) and were I sat my chassis (within my sup travel) the lager Hyrax were no longer an issue when side hilling.

EDIT: 27 July Back to the smaller Hammers

These are actually cut and shuts. made from 1.9 Hyrax, spliced a section in. They're about 5.25" tall.

That is a popular mod my way. I think you ad an inch to each 1.9. I was hoping to shrink down my 5.75 Hyrax but I am not sure if that would work.

I have Hyrax on my C1 and C2. The big Hyrax do great except on steep side hills. If I fall off a side hill it is usually 10 points if I go out of bounds or can't drive back on my wheels and need a Hand of God. Even then I there is a good chance I will flip again. Last comp had a sidehill I couldn't work around. I had a perfect score until then. I never could get it and timed out. Other were not having as much of an issue.

I had let someone borrow my Hammers and they had no issues. The shorter tires MAY? get me high centered but I can reverse (one point) or winch or bungee pull (bungee still good at the places I comp) and only 3 points.

I do like how the Proline hammers perform and I am on portals. My next comp is on the 8th. I am excited to see how they do. My at home testing has be excited. I did some body trimming after this photo and I probably need some sliders.
