i got a few updates on this build it changed from the axial frame to a trx4 frame i got the motors set up and working good i figured out how to mount the servo so it worked right the 3 link is good no bump steer

i welded up a role cage with sliders and tube fenders the front and rear bumpers are mounted i did a test run it was a bit fast for my liking in first gear so it may need some gear changes to get it in that sweet spot but i exspected that

now its time to scale it out.with a bunch of goodies fix th3 interior get the roof rack mounted and the light bar installed and it needs a esc and a reciver

then paint it and make it look pretty

good start ! tho' I think some horizontal bracing and triangulation in that frame cage would do well to support that frame/cage further in the event of a roll over or flop.
Worth the added weight IMO.

A person could almost stand on that cage lol but seriously though it's plenty strong and besides the roof rack bolts to the cage and adds some cross bracing too the plastic on the other hand isent strong enuff it's got that brittle new bright body sindrom

My buddy came over to drive it and we found out it needs new gears and since I'm doing gears I want to do metal axle housings too then I will have to do the links

The brushed motor set up and the gearing wasent ware I wanted it to be so that set up came out and a 3 gear and outrunner went in

I will update this thread when I get around to working on it again

Maybe so... but they better not stand on the pillars facing where the windshield would be ! ?
Where is the horizontal support for that ? Just curious is all
Looks doable otherwise Good job ! (if ya don't mind some of those booger welds at the joints)
Now how long must we wait before the gears are put in order ?

Lol - just giving you a hard time !

The cage is Boogered to the frame in 3 places on each side and the roof rack bolts to the cage but over the body giving it 2 cross members outside the body
And since this isent mine I'm building it for a friend I can only install what he buys for it

My hot glue gun doesn't make pretty joints lol sorry

My guess is that hot glue stuff contaminates your welding process, creating bigger boogers. ?
Try cleaning off that hot glue before welding and use strong magnets to hold each joint instead
Assuming you prep the metal before the welding !? A Wire brush on a drill with some spray on brake cleaner (non-residual) comes in handy
