That's a great deal too. WOW! Let me know how it works out when you get it underway.

Well it was delivered today and as promised it was super clean not a scratch anywhere. I was shocked at how easy it was to disassemble actually took 15 min to have center diff removed and sure enough someone at the factory had a bad day no shims at all so one of the gears was stripped. Tomorrow comes the parts order. 3 SSD spools and the SSD axle tubes front and rear(hope this eliminates the breakage issues). Also decided to go with the 2 speed as well while I'm in there and I'll give the EcoPower 827 high voltage micro servo a try considering it comes with the proper adapter for the stupid servo saver setup. If it works I'll be making a bulk order for about 10 more of them for my SCX24 fleet and my 2 SCX10.3 . I'll toss up a thread once parts get in.

I hope it's easy enough as just the add-on and gear change. Let me know what the link is to your build thread.

Painted the gas tank today. I like the bit of black on the rear of the cage I think. It breaks up all the white cage a bit...

I locked it in low gear with a zip tie...lol Here are a couple of pics for those who like pics.

What pinion did you pick up standard 1/8 shaft in 32p? Or was it a mod 1 pitch? Stupid me didn't bother to check if my 32p pinions worked when I had mine all apart.

No worries man I found a couple options for pretty cheap. And some gear sets like 11t-16t so that will give me some options for sure.

Thanks. I'll have to look into those. I'd like to get an 11 or 12 to slow it down even more...

I got some new wheels for the Ole Girl in today...I was using the stock black glue on wheels. So I picked up another set of these off Amazon. I also have a set of these on my Bomber. Except the Beadlock ring is silver on those where these are black. They're nice and heavy for weight down low and they are built thick. I had to remove some material on the brake caliber so it wouldn't rub the wheel. SO... On to the pics!

Im definitely gonna be following this post. I have been wanting to do the same thing to a Ryft kit just because i love the looks of it. I wonder if anyone makes a different center skid to where a standard 3 gear transmission could be used? I was thinking of using a Holmes mini brushless esc and one of his stubby kv motors.

I think the stubby and the mini esc would burn up pretty quick. You need something with a lot of torque to get this thing moving... On the HH website, they list the recommended motor as a Puller Pro BL 540-L for the motor for general trail use. So you know you're going to need something stout to get it going.

Well. I got the scale engine I was trying to find... It's an LS7. The cone-style air filter may look a little familiar. It didn't come with one but I found an old Axial center cap from an scx10. Cut it down and fit it into place. You probably wouldn't tell if I didn't say something...lol The engine itself is for 540 can motors. It comes with two fans you can put in the engine to cool down your motor if it runs warm. But I don't need them for what I'm doing. The kit itself wasn't too hard to put together but there were some very tiny screws you had to use. To hold like the fuel rails and coil packs. So I'm going to put it in the rear of the Ryft. where the fuel tank is. I already know I'm going to have to take the Dremel to the engine on the bottom of the heads to get it to fit in the fuel cell to where it looks right. Here are some pics of the kit the way it comes and after I put it together...
