Arrow 6x6 build and how to

ok after reciving the axles (tamiya truck axles;a twin rear set)
i spoted a problem.
the lip all around the axles meant that the piece of metal that i was going to use to connect the two would not be as strong as i would have liked, so i decided to cut the lip back and show you how how i did it.
more info in the notes after the pics.

i did all the work on a white bath towel for two reasons, 1 to protect the 3 week old table and 2 to make the pics a it better

this is a close up of the ridges

this is the tool i used, as you can see it is a bog standard utility knife

this is the way i cut it, first the vertical then the horizantal

finally complete

soz for the poor pics as i use a phone camera
more to follow

you may find that to sand it after if a good idea

james

yes i know i messed up with the image sizes but in future it will be sorted
i would have redone it if it wasnt for the amount of work and already having done it one before
so please no more comments about the image sizes
