I was at Hobbytown today to get a sensor wire and ended up with this. My wife said to buy it.
Dutch thinks it's awesome and my wife can't wait to try it out.

Default Guido: Scale TTC Bronco 2013 Updates

Progress on the reassembly.

Interior is back in. I stripped the black pair off the floorboards and gave them a nice polish to brighten up the interior and add contrast to the carbon fiber dash.
It takes 29 screws to assemble the interior and it has to be done in the vehicle. Takes about an hour to get it in place. That's the price to be paid for scale though.

Rear axle is in, shocks have been rebuilt with 40wt oil. I still have to put new gears, locker, and knuckles on but I wanted to get the rear steer servo in place so I can cut out a clearance hole in the cargo box for the servo to go up into and get it finished up.

I'm really liking the look.

damn I love that color! (second post) what is it?

have you thought about the HH Pro Puller 540XL BL?

you've got plenty of time to whip up a hitch and trailer for that boat before nats

is that steering arm made from old TLT parts? I still have one of those made up.

do your seats Velcro in?

Thanks Cory. You must really like that color. Haha

It's Duplicolor Perfect Match automotive paint from Advance Auto Parts. Part number BNS0604 precision Gray.

I thought about the Pro Puller but to be honest I am personally done with 4 pole brushless motors in Guido (and most any heavy crawler: which is all I know how to build ). When running on 3 cell they just have too much power for the Axial axles when combined with a 12 lb rig. I was going through pinion bearings way too often. Since my passion is Scale Adventure/G6 and TTC events I need a rig that's reliable for the long haul. The Holmes Hobbies Trailmaster BL motors have provided me with plenty of speed, torque, and crawlability for the last couple years with no excessive broken parts.

My wife would love a trailer for her boat! But first she wants scale RJ and Jay Paul figures.

You got it. That steering link has been on many of my rigs and works great. The servo and steering link came off the now retired "Pepe".

When Guido was first built the battery packs were under the floorboards so I needed to be able to access them fairly quickly. Velcro was the solution and I've just left them like that ever since. Good eye.

Thanks Mudman. The interior has been a nightmare to design and build. I'm glad you think it looks good. I hope to get this thing together in time to add a few more details.

Default Guido: Scale TTC Bronco 2015 Scale Nats Updates

Well I was going to try and not use Tapatalk and upload pics to the site, but I can't copy the links using my phone. Tapatalk just makes it so much easier to upload pics.

The tool box( battery box) and cargo box cover are installed.

Here are the pieces for the cargo box. Lucky me got to design another part that must be assembled in the chassis. oh well. It looks much better this way.

Left side and floor are installed. The Trailmaster ESC will sit up front. It will be attached to the cargo box front lid so I can easily remove it if I ever need to.

The front lid bolts on with 6 screws. I had to use some M2 cap screws at the front because the cage is in the way and I can't get the driver for the scale hex bolts in there. Bummed.

Here you can see how the rear steer servo comes up into the box. After Scale Nats I may build a plate to block this off so I can use the box for storage. I don't think I need rear steer for Scale Adventures or G6 events so I might remove it.

Here is the complete cargo box. I used a satin black paint but it came out glossier than I wanted but no time to repaint it now.

Axial Wraith sway bar is installed. For the links I just used one of the long set screws that Axial uses to attach rod ends to the links. Think I might take these back apart and sleeve them with some tube though.

Links clear the shocks nicely.

Here it is at full bump. The bump travel is limited because the servo horn hits a crossmember on the chassis. I didn't feel like changing this because I think this enough bump and I may get rid of the rear steer anyway. I get full articulation and that's all I need for now.
The links had to be short so the arms wouldn't hit the coil spring mounts. I'm just not positive I want to remove the coil spring mounts from the chassis yet.

More to come.
