I usually go beneath the Gem Lake dam. It's an awesome place to crawl. They held a comp there last fall.

Good clean build. I love the looks of it. Those rims look killer, black and silver go great with that body

Thanks for the comments guys. I like the looks of the black beadlocks, too. I stripped the anodizing off the rings and painted the rims black. As far as the battery placement, I never really thought about putting the batteries underneath, but I don't think I would have room.

Cool I was just wondering because it might be enough to balance the weight up front but low enough to get over the top in vertical climbs.

Yeah, kind of. If you go south on Yellowstone past Sunnyside, go until you get to the intersection that takes you to I-15 and Dad's Truck Stop and take a right, you then cross the river and then take another left. It's kinda hard to find if you don't know what you're looking for.

Oh man, lots of plans but not enough time! Someday I'd like to make a winch and front and rear bumpers with a spare tire carrier in the bed.

Thanks, those old Chevy's in my opinion are the best looking pick-ups ever made.

Nice build!!!!!!
My only question is, whats the benefit to having the body mounts coming out the side as opposed to the top? You had that way in the first few pics then changed it. I only ask because I'm building mine and can't decide which way i'd like to mount the body.
