Default K5-52-3s

Heres the start of my build. Right now I am learning how to set up and remedy problems. It is all together but is just a mock up. I am going to redo the links and it will have 11"wb, 4"belly clearance. I will probably eventually get all ts for it. It will just be a basher. onto the pics.

/\ here you can see that it is anatomically correct.

the way the shocks were mounted but they moved to much and the axles could pivot.

Those were with the loose and full droop shock setup. Nearly 90* It is going to be alot less.

Your link setup is the reason why your axles are moving side to side, there is zero triangulation.

I suggest you contact Kaetwo or find someone who has the K2-3S/L build document to look at how you mount your links.

Thanks man. It is going to run a full body and the flex is going to be limited alot. and it will be more of a basher. I think I might use a maxx titan in it so not really a crawler.

Thanks torqe and clodstall. Thats why I posted, I want sure. So the uppers should come together at the axle or at the chassis?
I should have it running tommorow. Tonight I am going to redo the links and finish the shocks. Then I will go to the hobby shop and get more bolts so that they all match lol. I also need to figure out body mounts. Thanks again guys.

Got the shock mounts/towers on. It almost remedied the axle movement completely. I just got the build document and I think I am going to set it up like that. I might not though because the problem seems fixed and it doesnt seem triangulated in the build docu.
Here are a couple new pics.

You don't need to run a lot of triangulation on a k2 build. I have 3 of them, all different length links/wheelbase and have never had problems with a lack of triangulation

Why do you think it should be in the TLT section? Because the ride height is so high and the links aren't even close to being parallel with the ground?

I am asking, because I have the same chassis, I am doing several things that are pretty unusual with it and hope I don't get the same response when I post it for the first time, i.e. a suggestion to move it elsewhere.

There isn't too much in the recommended setup, but just the little amount stops any axle sway, even without shocks.

Okay got the trans mounted but got a couple problems. Does anyone know of a grub screw that will work with the maxx shafts and the stock tlt axle input?
Also I think I may have a problem with driveline angles. Can anyone give me some advice and pics and info. Oh yeah by the way I am using a magnum and maxx shafts. Pics soon.

Some updated pics, now with tranny and body mounts but thats about it.
After I figure out the shafts it should be running. Then it will be tuning and upgrading.

Oh yeah one more thing for I am off. No one makes any input shafts for the tlt axles that have pre drilled holes through them do they? I think they would be sweet. I think the main problem is that. It only binds when the shaft plays and comes part way off at an angle. If not I think I will get these.

No one? Well I drove it 2wd and no shock springs and was suprised. I even tried going down the stairs. Went down the ledge to the back door easy. Went down the first stair at an angle did it first time. Second and third too easy. Then on the fourth the battery fell out and pulled the truck end over end. Was not pretty. It was fine though lol.
