Default rockcock 2.0

i figure i'll just edit my original post with the final pics.

hulkwerks rubicon. modeled after a 1:1 that i've long lost the link for...

it was this a couple years ago, besides beefing up the steering, its stayed the same over the years.

the new stuff this summer:
3300 2s lipo, rcc everything in the axles, castle v.r., twin 5955 servos front and rear, droop setup with hpi shocks 100wt and internal springs, traxxas links with the lowers bent for clearance (and less wb ;) ), cutting sheet skid, mudslingers on ericson aluminum beadlocks, red&pink squishies, uhh, and thats about it.

old stuff is the hulkwerks cage pede tranny with the planetary 400, and a super rooster.

its killer, hopefully sometime here soon i get to take it out and scratch all the paint off the rings.

I've always liked this rig. I think it looks cool slammed.

Sounds like the springs may be too stiff. Are you running weight in the wheels or on the axles?

That's what I found with droop springs, I really needed more weight on the axles.

This is still one of my all time favorite rigs 'hoopty! I think it looks great all slammed but it still looks good before too. I agree that losing a little WB would make it look a little better.

i'll take about 3/4" off the front links, that should make it look a bit less mud dragger looking.

i'm also thinking about maybe f350 axles and a chassis mount front steering servo. i could whittle something out of a cutting board and zip tie it to the chassis up front under the winch. maybe have the backside of the servo poking out where the winch is?

hey, just kinda tossing ideas around... but has anybody ever weighed a tire with shock oil or something like that? i searched and found a post where a bunch of people talked about it...

Still looks good hoopty. I dig the boatsides!
Chip cross, that is not a boyer, it's a HULKWERKS- and I made it.
Hoopty- I wanna see pics of that crazy buggy contraption we made- how is that coming along?!

Keep it slammed down to the ground! And flex isnt to important, i aint got much flex in my hustler now when using limit straps and it works super good! keep it up, looks really good!

'sup josh!

i thought i said in my first post you made it. my apologies.

the boatsides are just a cutting sheet. it kills the scale a little but it really helps it slide over stuff.

the buggy is just waiting for me to get off my butt and paint the lexan. i ended up using 3 bodies to custom fit everything, HUGE pain in the butt to figure out, especially now that the bodies arent being made anymore and rare as hell...

heres a pic of it before i went lexan crazy:

novak 6.5 on 2s lipo. this thing is gonna scoot. i woulda used a mambamax, but the green would have clashed with the red. ;)
