Default Scout scaler. yup another one.

Finally got enough done on this to start a thread. List of the usual parts
45T lathe
TLT axles
High lift leafs
pede trans
Geo's
narrowed Traxxas wheels
TCS rings
11-11 1/4 WB

Blah, blah
On to some pics, cause that's what you want anyhow.

Here is when I started beating the frame into shape.

Here's a body off frame almost done, front shock mock up

Leafs on, driveshaft mock up

Still lots to get done, rear shock set up, steering set up, I think I need a lift kit, or switch to some 1.9's

Comments? suggestions?

Are the shock hoops/mounts washers? That's a pretty cool idea

Yup the shock hoops are just cut up washers, I saw it on this site somewhere.

Colors??? Right now I'm thinking white top, and silver or metalic gray. Thanks

is that thing square stock welded? That thing should hold up to ANY abuse you can dish out. Are you going to mount the steering servo on the frame to keep it scale looking? I like it, looking sweet.

1/4 inch steel rod from lowes, or home dept........can't remember. Might be a little on the heavy side, but I'm hoping to give those leafs a workout.Yes I plan to mount the servo to the frame. Thanks for all the comments

Quick update: servo, and steering linkage mock up. I think I'll need a bit more drop from the servo horn area, but you get the idea.
