| well after building my 1.9 blazer, i decided to build a mud truck of some kind and what better to base it from, a chevy! heres what i have so far, all i need is a tranny, axle guts, body tires and drive shafts, let me know what you think guys ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by scalerfreak; 09-03-2007 at 07:00 PM. |

| Looks great, sometimes simple chassis layouts like that work and perform the best. With the clear panels like that you could even paint some fake tubes to make it appear to be a tuber. You might have to lower the front, the drive shaft might bind being at such a extreme angle. |

| thanks, i just thought of that, and your right about the lexan chassis, im gonna paint it all flat black, not chrome, its not a bogger if it has chrome on it, that stuff is for those shelf queens, lol, but yea, ill probably lower it |

| thanks man, yea, i have never owned a production chassis, Ive always made mine, i have a shop that i can build all kinds of stuff in, and i love working with lexan, its really strong and you can do all kinds of stuff with it, but thanks again man, i appreciate it |

| SImple chassis' sometime's work out better than mass-produced one's do. Now where can I get my hand's on some of those thick Lexan panels???? |

| uhmm, lol, i had these just laying here in the shop, but you can buy 1/4th inch lexan from home depot, i think its in like the widow area, not sure, but its in home depot here and thanks for the compliments guys |

| Them tires will NOT do very good in the mud. oh what do you cut the lexan or plexiglass with? so where did you get the chassis idea from? |

| i cut my aluminum and lexan on a band-saw and grind the edges down with a grinder, and use a drill press to drill the holes, i have a shop full of machines that i can use, and i have some old tires that I'm gonna cut up and CA glue some kind of a tread pattern on these tires EDIT: i thought of the chassis myself |
