Default Last minute tips!

We would like to remind everyone to bring a few things.

1) Good Shoes. Donner is covered with all types of rocky terrain, so a good pair of hiking boots is advised.

2) Bug Spray. During the day the bugs are no problem, but in the morning and evenings the skeeters can get a little aggressive.

3) Sun Screen. We will be atop a mountain in the Sierras which means that were about a mile form the sun. It won't take long to get a bad burn if you are unprotected so bring your SPF 50.

Other than that don't forget you, your rig, and the desire to compete with the best of the best and we'll have an awesome time.

I'll see you on the mountain, Stu

Thanks for the last minute tips, i almost forgot the sunscreen and bug spray.

You may also want to bring a Camel Back for fluids and to carry some extra tools and parts.

It was a quote from one of my favorite movies (Joe vs. the volcano), and was a joke. Thank you though for using a search engine to let us all know the actual distance between the earth and sun. I think we all really needed to know that .
