...I was all set to go up until I reversed the polarity on my transmitter battery. Got that funky burning plastic smell with a hissing noise So now I am $250 in the hole and I havent even left yet
Just goes to show, dont rush electronics installs I think I'll glue that toasted spektrum unit right in front of the soldering iron stand so I'll see it every time I plug it in

Man, I'm just going to have to start calling you Floyd Jr. ;)

Did you decide to just order new axles? If you want a new dogbone, let me know since I've got some. After that grinding yesterday, it wouldn't suprised me if that's what made it break.

Someone should try some of the waterproof spray on sunblock. I was going to do it yesterday, but we were running through sand and it would have gummed up a lot. That stuff is really really sticky though.

I always light mine, then do the Mesquite thing.

Works wonders, AND tastes like chicken

Thumbs down

I'm getting a little nervous everyday that counts down,My buddy was like "Dude you need to get some R/D time on that rig before you leave"We had our last comp this Sunday and I broke for the 4th time this month.I snapped the axle spline.I'm refurbishing the tranny I got in a trade just to make sure nothing is on the point of breaking.

I just drove the 2.2 for the first time yesterday.
The super is a roller but needs a body and electronics.

I still need to order some spare parts like TLT shafts, knuckles, and at least one servo.

I don't think there is any chance of getting the scale truck done for Sunday.

I've been working on crawlers every night after work for the past 3 weeks unitl 1 or 2 am and as much as I can on the weekends and somehow I need some time to do testing and tuning. I feel your pain.

I've never gone to a comp with a truck that I didn't finish at 5am the morning I had to leave for the comp and I've never taken the same truck to two comps.

I was hoping to break that habit this time.
