Default Rig Legality?

Since there was a couple questionable rigs built who do we go to. Do we ask our elected club leader or is there someone else?
Thanks
Cole

I would also like to know this, I have personally been going to my club leader. Is there a more direct approach.

The best bet is to go to your club rules rep. He should be able to answer any questions you need. If not, they have direct access to ask other committee members. This way, you go through the channels. That way it helps your rules leader to become even more familiar with the rules if something should ever come back up.

Thank you he is handling it for me.
Maybe the club reps could put that they are the reps for such and such club under there name. Just a thought, as it would help noobs figure out who to talk too.

The 2007 rules aren't out yet so they could let you know how your rig fits into the 2006 rules.

Once the 2007 rules are published, which sould be sometime in January we can answer questions about those rules.

I'd like to see one rule change. If one can build a Tuber at anysize or width. One should be able to Narrow the width of a body. Just set a limit on how wide they can be. Like 4in min.

Bodies must remain unnarrowed, we are working on a number for minimum width of a tuber.

The narrow width should be the same as the Narrowest 1/10 body you can buy. Say the same as the VW Bug. 6in wide I think?

Tubers impart weight too, so I think the work involved and higher CG offset the advantage of the narrow width. Would this be measured at the widest point on a tuber only?

It will be an overall width with the rest of the deminsions. You will not be allowed to just make 1 part to fit the width and then build the rest of the width at 2" narrower.

what about a lexan cab with a tuber cage/flatbed instead of the bed? its not 70% of the original body...but the lexan would be replaced with brake line (which is heavier) and it would be the same width.

as 5centhooker just said, keep your panties on- we are working on it.. we can not answer every question and be 100% right until we know what all the rules will be

but if you have a whole tube chassis with a lexan body, sounds good enough to me

No cause a tube frame dosen't give like a lexan body does so in a sence your 6 inch wide body works just like a narow tube chassy does, probably beter. For example me and BADD ride together a lot, my super is 3 inches wide, I get stuck is cracks that he slides through with his torsion stick cause his body deformes and lets him through. So to put a limit on the narowness of a tube chassis is ludacris.
