Default 2007 Nationals update

I just figured that I would give everyone an update on the status of the 2008 Nationals.

We have determined that invites will go out to the top 2 finishers for your series. To be qualified as a series you must run at least 4 events, and the series is to have ended between February 1st 2007, and July 1st 2007. If your series ends later than that, that is fine, however 4 events must have been completed by July 1st, and the people in the top 2 spots as of that date will get the invites.

These invites are non transferable. Only the top 2 people in each class will get invites, if they cannot make it for any reason those spots will go into a pool for that will then be offered on a first come first served basis.

If you made it to the finals at the Nationals last year, meaning you were in the top 5 you are guarnteed an invite for this year. If you also finish in the top 2 spots for your clubs series this year you'll only get the one invite.

As far as dates and locations I am working hard on both of them and will let you know once the permits and contracts are in place. I can let you know that I will be traveling to Moab tommorow to meet with the BLM ;)

The current clubs in our committee that are elgible for invites are these:
Colorado
Hawaii
NorCal
Sercrc
Vegas
ETRC
NARCCA
CMRCRC
WARCRC
SoCal
MNRCRC
SVSC
CT Rockcrawlers
MWRCA
TSC
UTRCRC
NewEngland RCcrawlers
MTRCRC
Carolina Rock Crawlers
ORCRC
PARC
NMRCRC
BPRCA

If your club isn't listed here and it should be please send me a pm.

Correct there are 23 clubs, so that will be 46 invites per class. However some clubs only run 1 class so that will lower it down a bit, and I am sure that there will be several people that get invites that won't be able to attend.

Or like Bender that would get invited because he is in first place in 2.2 and super but is already going because of a top 5 finish last year at Nats.
Too bad we had to waste two invites from CO on Brad.

Sounds like a good, fair plan Jason.

Meaning for example I would get an invite for super and have to hope for a open spot in 2.2 correct?

Correct, since last year you placed in the top 5 at Nationals, but have been getting your *** handed to you in this years series you will still qualify, but only in the super class.

If the 1st or 2nd place people could not go why would these spots go to a pool, to keep the nats a best of the best, it seems by bumping up the next people in line 3rd & 4th would be the thing to do.

This keeps joe nylint from buying a spot at nats, that he has not earned.

Shouldn't it be MMWTPTRCC (Mississippi Mullet White Trailer Park Trash Rock Crawler Community)

I would love to be able to come out and watch. Maybe I can get me a cheap plane ticket!
