Very good point Rowdy. East coast guys put in the work and their crawlers have better qualifying odds for sure. I hope all of those events continue to get adequate support. We'll see how it goes out west next year regardless of whether the events are "sanctioned qualifiers" or not.

Whats the $500 for?

Where are you getting your information?

Its a minimum of $250 @ 30 drivers and $8.30 per driver is pretty expensive for the entire event. When I was the other side paying the fees it was $5 per driver per class. 1 year my ECC Qualifier bill over $850 for only 1x invite.

Tell what if you can talk Jason and Badger to give me USRCCA and space on the forum for free and I won't charge you anything for a qualifier.

Level 2 Qualifier:
40 Drivers Minimum (2.2 Pro or 2.2s)

50 Drivers Minimum (2.2 Pro or 2.2s)

3x National Invites per class run*

Level 4 Qualifier:
75 Drivers Minimum
1 x Class Minimum

3x National Invites

*Super & 1.9 must have at least 12 drivers to receive invites.

A minimum of $250 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a Qualifier date. Established organizers will be able to reserve date outside 90 days. Any date inside of 90 days is available pending approval by USRCCA. (If the interest in the comp is greater than predicted by organizers events can be upgraded to higher levels)

Comps organizers will have a 1000 mile ring of protection for 2 weeks before and after.

Example: ECC is held April 15th, no one else can have a comp from April 2 till April 29 with in a 1000 miles. Denver is over 1000 miles so they could have a qualifier, but Ohio is too close during that time frame.

This map has some established locations and relative distances

Permission is required to have more than 2x Comps with in 75 miles of one another with in the same invite period.

No worries Fish, I don't want to debate on it, I simply stated I don't want to pay $500!

OK here is the reason I started the Northeast National Qualifier last year. I love to crawl, that is the biggest reason. Ever since Motorama went away several years ago we needed something to support the crawlers in the Northeast area of the US that were unable to travel long distances. I have had the chance to go to larger events like ECC for several years and to Nats. I go to them to have a great time meet awesome people and to find ways to make our events bigger and better. I am very proud and lucky to have two awesome clubs Eastern Pennsylvania RC Crawlers and Garden State RC Crawlers that have experienced members; not just in driving but in how to make things work and that are happy to support the event and the sport. I am blessed that an offroad park asked our clubs to hold events there. Not just the NENQ but a series of three events where the 1:1 crawlers also compete. It is an awesome feeling standing near to a full size comp rig doing its thing as I drive my comp crawler. Without the support of Rausch Creek ORP these event would never happen. The qualifier has never been a money making thing for the clubs, we do it for the fun and the ball busting. Last year for the NENQ we cleared a whopping $65 bucks after I took care of all the expenses. I'll admit that it takes planning and a lot of work but at the end of the event the question is did they have fun? Not just fun driving but a fun time with each other.

John

This thread is confusing! Could we get a thread started with the location and dates in the first post?

That's why there is a "?" in the title. It's supposed to confuse.

Hey Guys,

For those of you that are planning on coming to nationals and would like to Tent Camp check out this camplground that is just down the road from the Crawling Location. Fort Getty Campground has 15 tent site available for the dates of Nationals (Sept 4-7). They are $25 per night and Allow 3 Adults and 1 Tent (kids are ok and as far as I can figure do not count). Call Jill at the campground to make a reservation as they may book up sooner than you think. She says she is in and out of the office until 4PM (EST) but it is best to reach her in the morning.

There will be a hotel for people to stay at as well but since this is the closest campground I wanted to make sure people had a chance to get a spot before they are all gone.

The hotel doesn't have hourly group rates but I do

Think we found a place. It's pretty affordable, weekday prices are very cheap so for those who wanted to come early or stay late they will have a great deal.

Ironing out a few details and will have information soon.
