Default Little Rock City clean up continues!!!

Went for a ride just to see how much had been done and WOW they really cleaned it up nice. The pictures were taken from the 2 parking areas and on the way out. They opened up some trails that were blocked before and now you can drive way back in there. There is also a picture of the area where the gate will sit. But for now its still wide open and FREE. Nice improvements?

Not much if any changes from the pics above. We recently talked to one of the parks and rec people up there and he said the plans are to run water and electricity up there (bathrooms/bathhouses maybe?)

They definetly need to have that up there or maybe they can just bring us an extra bunch of porto-johns. The few that were at ECC were well over-used by the end of the event.

I heard from a friend yesterday that they have stopped or are about to stop the rock climbers . I'm not 100% sure on this as he was not either (he had just heard it) . But I hope this is not a bad sign .

I'm not saying that it isnt true, but it would really surprise me if they were to stop the rock climbers. That rock climbing club has been about the only people to give the park any money in the past. Would suck if they did stop it.

We had a long discussion with one of the parks and rec people and this was not mentioned at all.

No change in progress at this time, Park has been allocated funds and rite of ways have been acquired for electricity and water to be established at the location. There has been some vandalism going on at the park in regards to vehicles glass being busted. I believe this is an isolated case and has been handled by local law enforcement.

Future plans include shower houses, pavillion's, camper and RV spots with hook-ups. Board has not revealed any plans to stop any use of the park at this time. I will be in contact with the board chairman this weekend and will provide information later in regards to stopping any crawling.

Just got off the phone with my contact at the commissioners office and they have no information about the park being closed to climbers or crawlers.

This is great news Joe . I was worried when I was told that they had stopped or was going to stop the climbers . I hope no other stuff gets broke or messed with . That is a good way to get it closed down .
