Southern Fun Run 2

Was held this weekend at Bucks Pocket State Park in N.E. Alabama

CSR's Nationally acclaimed crawler took First Place

You guys made me work hard for that 1st place!

I had a Lot of fun crawling with y'all today. It's amazing how closely matched our trucks are. No one truck had a clear advantage over the others, mine just had a luckier driver today. And a real big Thanks to Kenny for donating the first place prize!

Thanks to all the guy for coming. SFR3 will be in march 2005.maybe htere will be a few more guys next time. spoke with the owner of thunderbird hobbies today he will be helping with prizes for SFR3.

Buck's Pocket was an awesome location! At least 4 different terrains to build courses on

The area we used for the first (2)courses were large smooth river rocks that perfect for K-Rocks. The third course was a pushed up pile of the same river rocks along with sand, soil and some plant matter. LST's were the tire of choice on this course. There were 2 other areas near by that we never go to because of darkness.

The campgroud was next to 3 of the 4 crawling spots with the fourth about 200 yards away.

Perfect place for a "Camp & Crawl 1" next spring.

Sounds alot like Green river-you have sand stone, smooth river rock, granit, sand, and some smooth gravel to deal with. Lots of fun

I had a great day up there! I had lots of fun crawling with everyone and seeing their trucks. They were all very cool trucks, each with their own advantages and disadvantages, which made it a really close match. I had fun killing my truck and glad everyone else enjoyed it as well! Got to get my pics hosted, so only one for now. The rest should be up tomorrow night. Thanks for a great day everyone!

Thanks for everyone coming out to the SFR2. Had a great time, maybe more will make it to the SFR3, or maybe we can have a SFR2.5

Man, Cris, Great pics! Laying around on the rocks paid off, your pics are exceptional! In most cases even the toughest terrain doesn't look tough in pictures.... I think these pictures do a fantastic job of showing the difficulty of the courses.
