| New guy/ Crawling at Grayrock
Hello to all. My name is Dean. I live in Gardendale, Alabama. I'm extremely new to the RC game. Never owned a crawler. Recently I purchased a LNC RTR kit. Pretty cool stuff. I live pretty close to Grayrock so we frequently go there. I've done a couple of mods to my kit already. Changed the steering servo and added some wheel weights and the obvious new body. Parked at the bottom of "Sunday Drive". Long way up. Slick way down. Luckily no one fell. My kit. Almost completely stock LNC with Proline Baja Bug body. |

| Re: New guy/ Crawling at Grayrock Waddup Fish. Yeah, I know Audi. Good people. I know where Shades Crest is. I've been bouldering there for a decade. Would never crawl there though. Too many places around here to have to drive there. Turkey Creek, Grayrock and the thousands of acres behind my house. What kind of body/ chasis is that on yours? Mesa likey.

Hey Dean this is Zac. I agree, Grayrock has some really good stuff. Let me know when you want to get together to crawl. I think Hogan is good to go now on the crawling after the new motor, gears, links, knuckles and servo.

| Re: New guy/ Crawling at Grayrock I can let you know when we are having our next comp. I dont know if I will be able to make it since we just had our little girl but the comps are a TON of fun and you can still play afterwards (more fun than just playing around in my opinion) You would be in the 2.2pro since you have dig but some of the courses are not geared towards shafty's due to steep climbs with 90*+ breakover angles; however we have been letting everyone run in the same class since we are just now getting our attendance up and most people do well. Reverse points are cheap and finishing is the best thing you can try to do. Bonus gates can and will mess you up to the point you can not finish. I will have 2 awesome motors for sell here in the next couple weeks if you or anyone is interested. They are some Holmes Hobbies 35t Handwounds with the big comm etc.. We just turned them on the lathe so they are as good as new. I ended up picking up a set of one off Br00d's that should be crazy fast, smooth and make a ton of torque.

How much does it cost to enter? Also, I can figure out what to do to get over or around them most of the time. It depends on when it is if I can go. Mine is apart right now. Ordered new tires, all metal driveshafts, and I'm about to order me a novak goat 3s brushless esc/21.5t ballistic motor combo and its not going to run till that goes in. I've killed another dig servo a little bit ago. Something isn't right with that thing and its driving me insane

To be honest unless you know the owners you would have to wait on a large 1:1 ride which would be 25-35 per day or 75 per weekend. My wife just had our little girl or I would show you around up there. I'm going to talk to tony about letting a few guys come in for the rc stuff since many of us who have the rc stuff have 1:1's and a few pretty much have free all the time access. | Re: New guy/ Crawling at Grayrock Shit, I thought you were another guy. It may be 5 bucks for the comp but a couple were free. Its not going to break the bank. I think my LCQ Judges ticket was 25.00 and that is a National event.
