| Comps?
I have been crawling for a long time and have never done any comps. Do they have any comps near Birmingham?

Scale trucks are more my style but I'd be down for anything. Plus if there was a comp close I could make all of my buddies go and then they would have crawler fever.

Our Comps in Minnesota (MNRCRC) were loosing interest we got down to the core. IMO it was because the trend had changed and favored small groups bashing in packs nothing organized except impromptu small group G6s basically glorified trail riding. Nobody wants to change their truck just to be legal for a comp program a few times. So we eliminated 99% of our existing rules. Basically down to wheel size and a few specifics like dig in 1.9 and 2.2 trail. Our Pro class rules didn't change at all. What we discovered was a whole new wave of members. It sounds crazy but we have more people at comps today than ever before, imagine that? The lack of rules hasn't hurt the competitions in the least in fact the've been better than ever before. Another bonus was our Pro class grew even with USRCCA based rules and all. We are about to start our third season with limited rules and its all good. If you want more people to compete with give it a try, its worked great for us. Our 2016 MNRCRC class comp rules can be found on the Minnesota site.
