| a Trip to (2135) Much Creek Alaska.*pic heavy* and Video
Okay so i thought i would post up some pics of todays trip for you guys when i showed up there were a couple of unknown local crawlers who hopefully we will get to see at the championships on sept 13. it started off fairly cloudy and ended up as a pretty nice few hours of crawling. Matt and i set up quite a few courses and ran them a few times setting up gates where our crawlers would hesitate or have problems makeing it through keeping lines as tight as possible for good practice. my changes this trip are a new Dinky link from Dinky RC and i would have to say its got to be the strongest replacement (close to stock configuration) link i know of i have been breaking 3 links left and right (plastic and the upgraded CNC ones) on my rear axle. well not this trip but when something doesnt break something else will always give right? ended up being a stock axial 30deg bent link in the rear i flipped off a cliff and changed the angle to about a 45deg bent link in rear.... lol! heres a video sorry for the quality but i tried to make it small enough to download quick and thew shacky camera is cause of the terrain lol. http://www.youtube.com/v/6Vv57VrrUG4 Comments/Questions welcome! and we hope to see all locals at the championships on sept 13th at mchugh creek. heres some still shots. Group shot. Notice Something wrong here? LOL! 45 degree right link.... - tre Last edited by akguanja; 08-25-2008 at 02:47 AM. |

Great pics! I was just wondering if you guys were gonna do any crawling this weekend. Anyways I was wondering if I could tag along if anyone was going. I don't have my car right now so I'll need a ride. I just thought I would ask. Mike I have 3 crawlers. Stock ax-10 with rear steering. Modded tubber AX-10 with everything. Clod Stick And 17 or so other trucks, cars, planes, helicopters. |

Mchugh is the easiest to find. I like it there and hope to explore more there. Flat top trailhead is on my list to checkout. You should join The fb page Alaskan RC crawlers and off roaders. It's been the easiest way to gtg impromptu runs. Rocky and I have been out 2x and had a blast pushing the limits of our rigs. I've heard of a couple potential spots around the butte area, one possibility behind Freddie's in eagle river a trail that starts between Fred's and sbs I guess?
